Man I love the stuff you guys build. EXACTLY the way they should be clean rideable no frilly shit. The flow of the bike and the stance is great. I have an Evo crate motor in a wishbone frame nothing fancy just dependable, clean. Big fan of Toledochoppers.
Man this thing is clean. I love the FLH front end with the 16" wheel, it looks different then all the other bobber style bikes. Do you have any pictures or any info on the build? I'd love to get some more info!
Where do people get money for this?!?!?!? Really, I need to know, I've had the boots, since 1989, the jeans since my first birthday, the shirts since always, no tattoos (but i gess those are optional) so now i'm just missing the bike...
Thanx alot bro,..I don't sell the pipes outright, I usally need the bike here to build them to fit and for the lower mount. If you get a pic of your scoot I would love to see it. You can post it on my facebook page Lumpknocker's Stuff
Friend I gotta tell ya! You build the coolest bikes ever!!! It's like you crawled into my head!!! I love this fuckin bike!!!!!!! I would like to buy a set of these pipes from ya this winter yet! I have a'76 FLH so it's a cone tho! But I was hopin to still get a set just like this!!! Shit I should send you a picture of it!!! I'll hafta figure out how to do that! I'll think you'll totally dig it!!! So do you sell those pipes?
i really want an older harley i was looking at an old sporster i believe its a 73 1000cc but im only 16 bout 140 pounds and i have a feeling it would back kick me over my house, ive never tryed to kickstart one, any chance a little guy like me would be able to start one? and i was also curious can you catch a v twin on a compression stroke like an old big bore dirtbike?
I get a kick out of the "where can I get the gears" questions as they don't realize thats what just the way a '69 sounds, nothing special. Always liked the whine !
i have an 82 shovel with boar kit, im having trouble with it puking a good amount of oil out of crank case breather hose,is it normal ,i ride it once a week and it sits the rest of the time, i dont have filter on end of hose either does it matter
It's typical with the old shovels. Your check valve spring might be weak and need replacing, or the check valve seat might need to be remachined. They will still leak a little out the breather after they sit for a while.
@tammiep777 If it is gushing out the crankcase vent on start up, you have over filled your oil tank. Let it run till it stops puking oil out the crackcase vent. Then check your oil. If there is some in the oil tank, start the bike and make sure you have oil pressure showing on a gauge, If you have pressure, then your oil tank is filled to the proper level, and you shouldnt have that problem again.
Im kinda in same market for something like that bike !! Do you buy rebuild alot yourself ? Id just like to find something along the lines of a hardtail cheap and tear it apart redo it myself like i want it.
what's one of the easier ways to go about buying one of these bikes. in a couple years i'll be in the market for a good shovelhead. I don't want some 2000-something kawasaki or some garbage like that, or a new harley, but a genuine badass shovelhead. If it's as easy as going on some place like cycletrader and finding it i'd be stoked
Thanx 4 lookin,..I have been screwin around with bikes since I had my first set o wheels. All I can say is buy somthin cheap at first and just tear the sucker down and make it your own...Good luck bro,..Zander
Hey man, got a question for ya. I know nothing about "bobbers"...is this like bobbing the bike down to make it shorter? This bike looks nice as hell! Do you make these and sell them? What this do for a guy at my height (6'4") ? Thanks!
When you bob a bike, you remove alot of unneccesary parts. Many bobbers look small because of the lack of parts that would normally make them look bigger. If you cut the parts off and cut the frame to get a certain look, you have a chopper.
Definitely one of the best Shovels I've ever seen!!! I wish I would have seen this earlier. I would have bought it no questions asked! Do you know if the guy who bought it, is lookin to sell it?
Rigid / swingarm because I replaced the springs in the shocks with a solid piece. So you got the look of a swingarm frame with the lowered stance of a rigid...Take care and thanks for lookn
