Republican is president. Republican makes a mess of it. A Democrat is president, A Democrat is trying to fix it. Democrat cannot fix it, making more wrong choices. The People wants a Republican back, to fix the bigger mess.

It is for John Kerry (i.e. any Democrat facing Bush at the time of '04 when it was written) "blue blood" insinuates Democrat. "The English are waiting" for us to become as modern as they are and elect a sane presidential candidate. The band is obviously a supporter of the Democratic Party after their Obama benefit concert in Ohio in '08. But it is not an Obama song, it was adapted to the times later on.

I cried. For the first time in my life I have a President I can be truly proud of and look up to. For those that will say it's too early to call something like that, it's not. Even if Obama doesn't solve all the worlds problems (which he won't) he's still a great man and he has the best interests of the country in mind.
