the immortal del shannon been listening to his music for nearly 50 years at our local palis de dance 1961 62 one of the best singers of all time r i p del
This a classic. It's obviously from the same session as 'Little Town Flirt' (same great backing singers! - who were they??) but even more perfect. No-one made better pop records than this.
Pantz, you really are. I had over two thousand discs mounted on a selector system that had to have the centres punched out, they cost me an arm and three legs. But I also rocked in the 1960's to Del shannon and wished I had saved my collections! Well done those who thought forward and hung onto them!
I hung into my Del Shannon 45's. However don't have a phonograph to play them on now. Thank goodness for the Bear Box Set. Now I can hear them all on the computer.
What a voice. I wish someone could have talked to him about his situation. He made a lot of people sad when he died. I will never get tired of listening to him. pinkfloyd59 "an oldie, oldie lover till I die"
This artist did a lot better (on the charts) with such greats as "Runaway," "Hats Off to Larry" and "Little Town Flirt," but this was a great one, too!
Don't cry for the great Del Shannon. His music is immortal.

Definitlely one of his better Hits.
Yes, this was a hit. It was alot bigger in the UK where it got to the top 30, which is damn good when you think about it.
