@wardsta23 Purple was all the rage!!! I dug out my DCD ('Dave's Chain Device' named after Dave Hemming wasn't it?) last year and sold it on eBay - I think I got what I originally paid for it.
@eayrider9 They used to be known locally as Skelly Woods and are in Fareham. I think these are fenced off now and inaccessible - probably because people got hurt doing silly stunts on their bikes!!!! lol.
Down here in Cincinnati a group of us (20 or so) ride full suspension trials, Most of us are on C'dale Super V's. A lot o our riding looks like old school trials (before everyone started riding like a uni-cyclist) Its like twinshock moto trials. thanks for posting this I'll try and get a video of our next meeting posted.
@lewizzz1 In 1993, this is what a trials bike was. You got a cross country bike, took the big ring off and lowered the saddle. It isn't like today where everything is custom for the sport - those bikes didn't exist. The Zaskar was considered the best bike for the job at the time. BTW, I do have a modern Mod Stock trials bike now.
I still have the frame, but it will be going on eBay as I've kept it for years with no use and it is just getting in the way now. Hans Rey actually rode my Zaskar - met him in 1993 at the Malverns Hills Classic event and asked him if he'd have a go. I have a modern Stock trails bike now, but I'm just getting back into it after 14 years out - turns out my balls got a bit smaller since then.....
Love the DCD! remember those? I had a purple ano one on my cross country rigid mtb converted to trials use.

Where are those woods at the start? They look like Winscombe near Wavering Down to me.
