@violiner9391 "East-coast" sound refers to the very "full", "fat" sound typical of Virtuoso Violinists who are / were taught on the East Coast of the USA ( America ) , in contrast with many ( even very fine ) Violinists who are / were schooled on the Pacific (West) Coast of USA who typically have a "thinner" sound. It's not a derogatory term or expression, just one of observation of sound quality differences amongst Concert Artists. Best wishes to you.
Thank you so much for this gorgeous interpretation of the Kreisler classic ... the best version I've heard of it, even perhaps Kreisler's own recording ... something I never believed possibe till now.
Espectacular.. Hoy 14 de marzo del 2010 en el teatro teresa carreño de caracas ,Venezuela se presento este maestreo y tuve la gran oportunidad de escuchar esta obra interpretada por el en vivo.. Bravo Sholomo..

Shlomo Mintz's powerful tone works so well when he plays show pieces such as this one.
Hopefully, more people will listen to this great recording of him.
