Add some feeling to your music... Try closing your eyes while you're playing this song and relax your fingers. You'll notice that it changes! I think that playing piano isn't just systematic...
Thank you! I hold your compliment in particularly high regard, as I admire your music on YouTube. I like your other stuff too, but please give us more music!
Thanks for the constructive criticism. Yes, I will be playing this with more expression in the future, but right now I'm still struggling just to get all the notes right!
have you played any other instrument before thats good going for a month i think you might have been playing a little longer but you are obvously a clever guy anyway. thats clear from your other video's. love the d# fab.
Well, I only got the keyboard on Christmas. I've never played an instrument, but my brothers (bass trombone/trumpet; guitar) and sister (saxophone/clarinet) did in school, plus I studied my bro's music theory books from college. And I've loved classical music my entire life. My best friend's ex had an old out-of-tune upright, and I used to peck around VERY occasionally until no one could stand the awful noises.
your doing great. i can bang out a tune on a piano but my first instrument is guitar. i have a piano and all the keys are like your d#. ime a virtuoso on that one. serously though once i did a gig where i had to mime piano. i got away with it but it was deeply unsatisfying.
I practice about 4-5 hours per day, 4-5 days per week. Hanon excercises take up about 25% of that time; I've learned through number 12. My "holy grail" for 2008 is to learn the 3rd movement...
Great, great.
Magnificent.
Just all I have to say
this could probably be my favorite piano song ever
and really makes me cry
it's simply beautiful
You're really good

It changes if you have a good digital piano, some are not sensitive to pressure at all :P

You managed that after only a month? I am impressed.
Here's something to aim for next: watch?v=ipzR9bhei_o :)

never ever play a masterpiece with a keyboard. the keyboard's sound ruins the piece. I hate it so much.

Good job... you could try playing in 'tempo rubato'. Sometimes a slight delay/suspense can make the piece speak much more.

I've joked that for my birthday, I want 27 keys.

I can't believe you learned that song in a month. I don't have that kind of determination.
