I actually agree with Raimi(boy, is that rare) that the Jet song worked better in this case. Sometimes you need to break things up a bit to keep from getting monotonous. Elfman's score was just ok to me. Nothing like the heights he reached in 89 with Burton's Batman score(which in and of itself ranges far enough that it wouldn't need a pop song to break the monotony). His Spider-Man scores by contrast pretty much stick to one thing and don't vary all that much.
he also mickeymouses alot and adds music when there doesnt need to be. a lot of times a joke plays better without the music; a lot of the humor in spider-man 2 and 1 is how candid and realistic things are and those are messed up when infront of goofy funny music
Thank you for posting these. This one was the best one yet. Sam Raimi had his head all the way up his ass for throwing this stuff out. And so do the people who defend his decisions.

This song worked so much better. Wish they wouldn't have cut so much of Danny's score.

The song Hold On by Jet is on that scene.

Oh I like this better! It gives it a lot more action to it. Why did they reject this also?
I think this works better!

Wow the last few notes at the end sounded like the SM3 Wal-Mart commercial....and the Theater Montage sounded sorta better in SM3.

I think part of this music was used in the beginning of Spider-Man 3. I think at 1:36.

Yes, Christopher Young does quote the "Theater Montage" theme at the beginning of Spider-Man 3. How ironic...

The Jet song was horrible, so hollywood-ish tin your face these use...elfan score would have been better.

this music works very nicely, and it feels like vintage elfman, but i just think the jet song worked a little better
