I have discovered that clearing your camera roll before running the jailbreak speeds it up greatly. Apparently the exploit involves the photos app. Mine hung for an hour because I had 470 pictures in the roll. After deleting the photos from my phone it took 30 seconds. Simply copy your camera roll to your computer, then delete all of the photos on the phone/ipad. Thumbs up for people who are having trouble.

When I updated to iOS 5.0.1 on my iPad 2 and jailbroke it, I was able to transfer all my JB'roken app but all the data was lost. For e.g. - all the scores in my games, all the feeds I have added to my Flipboard, all the bookmarks in my Atomic Web browser. Did I do something wrong or was this supposed to happen ?

I didn't have any problems with this jailbreak until tonight, the jailbreak overall is amazing but, I stopped recieving messages, so i decided i'd turn it off, and turn it back on, and i turned it back on, and whenever i launched messages, it turned into a little rectangle at the side of my screen, and i could only scroll. :\, so i'm restoring, right now. Doubt i'll jailbreak again. Really Not worth it. But, i had sick ass apps, and tweaks so it was lol.

FOR ALL WINDOWS USER THAT IT SAYS ABSINTHE HAS STOPPED WORKING: i had this issue as well and after working for a day stright i have come to this conclusion. A while ago my itunes would no longer back up my iphone. i didnt care because i used icloud. HOWEVER a major part of this jailbreak requires the iphone to backup. I finally had to use a diffrent computer and install itunes fresh, but once i got my ituned backup to work then Absinthe worked like a breeze!

You have to have a blank phone or it will take hours. HOURS. This JB is essentially making a copy of your phone then injected the JB and returning it to your phone. Restore to out of the box and it's minutes. 100 apps. Songs. Video. Hours.
