how long do you keep covering the onion, every week, every two weeks, once a month? What is the growing time for calcots? I'm writing to you from washington state (USA). My daughter saw it on tv and wants to eat it.
You only have to cover them tyo different times in the whole seson -1st time ehen the sprout is around 20 cm long and the second time when the same proud reaches a high of around 10cm more- . We can plant hem from august to first days of december (it always depends on the wheather). Once you plant hem you can collect them 4 months later, aprox. (before floration).
