The only thing it is is unlucky, for both players, things like this will always happen in football. There have been considerably worse challenges where the player came away completely unhurt and there will be a lot more innocuous challenges where players get hurt badly, that's just the way it is.

Obviously Shawcross didn't set out to hurt Ramsey but it's symptomatic of an unnecessary level of aggression which is tolerated in english football. Oh and for anyone who says "Shawcross isn't that kind of player" watch the same match the year before this happened when Shawcross chases Adebayor 2 yards off the pitch to foul him when he doesn't even have the ball.

in my opinion ramsey do a mistake on stepping his foot, and make his foot in wrong position to tread. but it hasn't broke yet, only sprain will be occur (It's my experience when I play soccer,I did the wrong position to tread,and it cause me sprain).but ramsey was unlucky because Ryan hit his foot that make the situation even get worst.the impacted from ryan's kick grow sprain injury into broken tibia & fibula.It's my opinion,if there are mistakes please forgive
