The aps on the Pre will be very much like Iphone's, I hear. It will be user base, meaning any one on the net with developer skills can make a program ap and submit it to the site to download. It will take a bit of time for it to be competitive with Apples AP store, but Apple has had about 1.5 years head start on this, don't forget.

No offense, but as a developer, i have worked on iPhone apps, and they are short to make and get accepted within 2 hours. I was beta testing the dev tools for palm pre... lol... ive been coding and developing for 4 years, and ive never run into such un-userfriendly shit. Took me 2 weeks (8 hours a day, 7 days a week) to program an app that made different instrument noises. I can program an iphone app to do that in 2 hours. You better know C++ because that shit is wack. No offense, just saying
