this mod needs a menu *like skulltag on bootup****

so u can choose

heretic

doom

doom2

hexen

etc

and then a optional pwad adder so we dont need to do this lol

Actually you have Doom1.9 (PSP doom) Dsdoom is a port of PRboom which is FAR superior to Doom1.9.

it's simple. he put ZDOOM on the ds and loaded the WAD file of chex quest through the launcher.

He's running modded version of the unofficial doom port, Doom DS. And since Chex Quest was a offical Total Doom conversion to begin with. All he had to do was replace certain Doom files with certain Chex Quest files and wala. He has a working Chex Quest game for the DS.

I don't know why id doesn't just make a damn doom game for the DS already. They could put in all the original games and expanision packs. The entire game itself is pretty damn long (40+ Levels), so I could imagine me on that game for a damn long time. They could also tweek with it a bit. I imagine an awesome multiplayer co-op mode reborn. Nothing would make me happier than teaming up with four friends to take down those cyberdemons. Plus the touch screen could be a great map or inventory. Man...

i have a video of dsdoom 64 its a demo so don't expect perfection yet (DSdoom mod)

oh yeah i forgot to mention i need some doom 64 levels that can run on prboom im not very good at making levels and dont have that much free time to learn how so if someone can make original or new ones but with the same kind of style/feel of doom64 it would be very appreciated

well Ive figured it out all you need to do is put a custom playpal like the one from zendynamics and put it on prboom than start and play turn off and then start adding what ever you want Ive created a doom64ds mod and doom 3 ds mod and to do this i used wintex wad editor i hope this helps someone else with this problem

How do you get custom .wad files to work on ds doom very time i try it loads all the console commands than goes black screened i have all the sprites tex,levs etc etc in it i even tried putting the files in prboom.wad but no luck please please help me :-(

I merged the custom one with the ds doom game wad im not really an expert on this i would post on gba dev for help

simple to do is it not? all you would have to do is use the .wad files from chex quest that i assume would be modded/replaced in the mod for doom. I guess the hard part was making it display on the ds...

sorry but the GBA isnt capable of it and I only made the mod to the chex quest game files so they would work with ds doom i didnt do any of the code for the actual application

It seems to me is all you did was swap the chex quest wad file with that of the doom wad, so you didnt port it nor make it. Wintermute and theChucksters are the one that ported it, and as a fellow homebrew programmer, I find it a bit insulting that you do not mention their names anywhere and instead insist on it was you that made or ported it. For shame on you.

I did not at any time say i made DS Doom i said i ported Chex Quest to work with it and i assure you it took a little more work then renameing a .wad file if you were to just throw the original chex quest file in the folder and rename it then it would not work
