I agree fully with John Hill being the best Jason. No competition.

As far as Peter goes, I love both. I think that Michael Arden is a truly incredible actor and I truly love Matt Doyle and his voice and passion as well. I would have loved to see Matt perform it on a stage, not just a CD. I think that one of the differences between them is that Michael Arden is with John Hill and they make an amazing pair. Matt Doyle is also brilliant. I do love these lyrics.

This is beautiful, as is the musical! Michael does belt a little at the "each of us standing bare" line, but otherwise its' perfect. The little kiss at the end is just pure fluffiness!! Go Michael and John!

I actually that while the new version of this song is prettier, the lyrics in the beginning of this version tie in closer to the play's meaning.

Like, Jason's line is like, "The music is gone now, the silence is strange..."

It ties into Peter's line in "Role of a Lifetime" of "What happens when the music stops?/In the silence will he stay, one day he'll realize that these feelings aren't going away."
