@jimidee33 "Poor misguided soul?"? WTF! I also don t like it, it s kinda lame and has no melody. I think most people who do like this kind of mediocre stuff by Paul are misled by the media, his godlike status etc. becoz they have no opinion of their own.
@proslade Um....Paul didn't write this song, it's a classic from 1950's that he grew up with but it's a lovely song in any case. And I'm pretty sure it was a song that all the Beatles liked. So I guess they all had mediocre taste.
@GizziesGirl2 Well, it is mediocre, whatever taste the Beatles had. Just becoz Paul is performing it, most people lose their critic capacity. If an unknown artist would perform it, the same opeople who are raving about it here, would not like it.
My favorite sing off the album and so sad as it is about Linda. Or at least I am sure he had her in mind when he chose it for the album and then sang it so well. Heather will never get a song like this nor does she deserve one.
This had to be a tough song for him to sing at this time in 1999 about a year after Linda died. Its a good song but I'm sure it was rough for him to go before cameras and sing it.
might be a simple song but it's great because it makes you think of Buddy Holly

I think Linda was still alive when this was recorded.

Great song, but Macca didn't write it. It dates back to the late 50's.

One poor misguided soul didn't like this heartfelt song. Sad. Everyone else that gave a listen 'got it'.

@proslade The song reflects I think, his loss of Linda and seems very heartfelt to me. I do not consider it mediocre.

He didn't write this song. The Orinal was from an english group called The Vipers.
But Paul's version is much better

I really like Paul's bass line in the beginning, the bass line sounds like a country song.
