Well, maybe not the absolute worst, but it's not much better. I honestly don't see why people hail this as such great music. Roy Buchanen, SRV, and Hide could all make more noise and do it better. I can appreciate the idea behind this solo, but the execution could use a little work.

I've got to agree with you on this. The solo recorded in-studio is much better and exponentially more comprehensible than this mess of dissonant chords.

True the studio version is better, but Boris and Kurihawa are still way above a bunch overly flashy blues guitarists, who are really just the guitar version of Idol singers, way too over the top and self centred.

You can hear the heaviness of every note they play. I think the reverb is turned on pretty high.
