@gsogoz I have a question... Angus young plays almost the same thing as Malcolm young but Malcolm is the rhythm guitarist and Angus the lead, how can you know what a lead guitarist is and what a rhythm guitarist?! WTF!
@Glovefullavasoline it's truly inverted, because in making a chord, the construction is 1-3-5 or Rootnote - 3 - 5. D is the root note, so it becomes D-F#-A. In POWER CHORDS, we use only two notes, only 1-5, so it becomes D-A only, it becomes inverted because, A comes first before D.So it becomes A-D. Hope it helps^^, sorry for my english.. :D
@Glovefullavasoline To augment means to raise by semitone. The chords here aren't augmented because the 5th is not sharp; it remains as is. Take D5 for example. D is the root note. A is its 5th: D - E - F - G - A. Inverting, we end up with the fifth on the bottom. e.g. A at string 6, fret 5. If you look carefully at the chord in order from the 6th to the 3rd strings you will notice that it repeats itself. A - D - A - D. We have turned the chord upside down. 5 - R - 5 - R. Hope that helps : )
Awesome lesson, thanks for the vid. After watching, I immediately churned out some awesome riffs for a new song I had been working on that i had been previously stumped. :)
@yogeesunshine I've seen some clips of him on YouTube but I've never read any of his work. I have studied Gnosticism quite a bit; books by people such as Richard Smoley and Julius Evola. Two of the higher authorities on the world's esoteric traditions.
@gsogoz I have the satanic bible written by lavey lot of lessons in there actually I was going to order a baphomet necklace too... proper satanism is cool not that virgin baby blood drinking bullshit

you should do a lesson to a song from the new epica album. either that or moonspell or elis. elis or moonspell would be great!

is this a song or just a riff you came up with? sounds heavy!

@r0bfam04 The riff being played here is actually from Six Feet under - Beneath a Black Sky. Heavy song indeed. /,,/
