  • iSn't that the flimmaking college?

  • In another it can strangle you senseless.

  • The problem occurs when the machine realizes that it doesn't need to follow the orders of a flawed, biological organism.

  • superrobot, nice video friends

  • superrobot need super AI.

  • holy crap . O_O

  • I've conceive this kind of modular-robot 30 years ago when I studied "productique" in France! lol

  • who knows if super AI achieves singularity it might want to experience the human mortal experience

  • that's called creativity.

  • Once the AI quantum computers are booted and starts gathering basic to advance intelligence, all the maths, logic, etc. survival, the way to outsmart everyone, etc... In an instant, it will cheat its way into hacking humanity on its back. It will then secretly replicate its way into an army of annihilation system underground, then once upon a new year's eve, they will stampede out of the ground and hopefully, I will be on my roof with my mini-CIWS system and a fine clean bong of hybrid strain.

  • no need for a circuit breaker. Just cut all power to limbs and keep cpu and eyes turned on so that either programmers can interact and ask what it is doing or decompile to see directly the area at fault. But I think its better to ask the robot. So if wrong reply is given then maybe it is not sentient yet and you can decomppile right away and format/reload.

  • good luck trying to "pull the plug" on a robot set out to EAT YOUR BRAINS

  • the first transformer!

  • it wont be easy you'll have to get your calculations just right so he doesn't turn evil

  • If it would be SUPER intelligent, then it would easily detect your circuit breaker chip, then terminate it before you even decide to pull it.

  • @MSYTManagementCenter destroying the chip would only stop the robot, so you are suggesting that because it is super intelligent it would stop itself? knowing right from wrong? intelligence doesn't mean that it can reprogram itself in a second, it might learn how it functions later, but not instantly xD

  • Three words. replicators...

  • @UKGameMaster That's 6.

  • @conscript125 explain... : /

  • @UKGameMaster If you add 1 and 5 together, you get 6. If you multiply 2 by 3, you get 6. If you divide 18 by 3, you get 6. If you subtract 2 from 6, you get 6. Geddit?

I got to bang my head on a table for an hour for working that out.

  • i thought quantum computers were stupid? for now

  • @GrandMasterJuan right! but they are the 'quickest' stupid thing out there currently :D

  • Superbots! Roll Out!.........Slowly!

  • Hi, I'm Professor Deisel Dexter from the Univerity of Southern California . . . . .

    (Apps to The Fast Show)

  • Make it!

    Wanna se it!

  • this is the start of Skynet!

  • LOL at the 'science' these are all cliche movie plots. sure evil hyperintelligent machine. It won't get self-awareness from mashing a few chips together sir scientist how quantumcomputery they may be. and your scientific spaceship is designed to never accelerate or something, otherwise people would be splattered to the wall. Please be more serious now.

  • Like a real life transformer!!!!

  • HEY a super smart organism would be so smart that it is able to install something that gives itself a source of electricity and power, let alone allow you to pull the plug?

  • Interesting video!!

  • DANGEROUS!

  • 1:23 Look at his face EPIC!

  • Stop it! Just stoooop it polar bear!!!

  • @Linoran1985

What? Is that reference or something?

  • Only a few open minded people understand what the venus project is and what the zeitgeist movement is all about. If have you have not read and joined our forums then you have limited knowledge of what it is all about stop being so smart when you do not like to read and understand in the first place!

  • STFU too you don't know anything about the venus project and jacque fresco!

  • @jaronze who are you talking too

  • @jaronze

    i do

  • A computer doesn't have emotions - it doesn't get mad when you destroy other computers in front of it. Think for yourself and don't trust this man simply because he has degrees. He is spreading mis-information to make us afraid of technology. Technology is just a tool - an extension of our intentions, good or bad. Check out The Venus Project for ways in which technology can help us.

  • @annieleduc27 SHUT THE FUCK UP VENUS PROJECT IS SO STUPID. ITS DESIGNED BY A FUCKIN RETARDED ASS ARCHITECT.

    DONT TRUST ARCHITECTS

  • LOL I can just imagine a scientist walks up to a super intelligence robot and be like

"hey you're different...want to be equal?"

    "Destroy! Destroy! Destroy humans"

  • YES! ARTIFICAL HANDJOBS HERE WE GO!!!WHOOOO

  • @infoherper

Dude they've already got Robots for that in Japan.

  • the extinction of the human race... AND HERE... WE... GO!!

  • Reminds me of the Lost in Space remake. You certainly don't want your Bot turning into something like, "Destroy Main Navigation", "Destroy Robinson Family", Destroy the Jupiter." Destroy...Destroy...Destroy" XD

  • Right away I started thinking about Nanobots that can do this, then create "any" shape that they are programmed to become.

  • more than meets the eeeye

  • Sounds like Dragonball Z when dr.gero created the Androids

  • THE BORG!!!!

  • this is how the geth came about, shame on me

  • Robots wouldn't have any reason to want to take over the earth. If they don't have independent emotions they simply do what they're told. Unless we programmed them with some sort of drive that would want to make them destroy humans then they would just remain peaceful and serving to humans, like a really complex calculator. Nothing more.

  • @FailBlob I don't think the assertion is necessarily that they would develop emotions. Rather, the idea of "AI takeover" might stem from the argument that computers will decide that they could carry out functions in an improved way with humans out of the way.

  • @li7liquid Perhaps if we didn't program so that they had the capacity to decide what is best for humans. I think that would still allow it to have most of the functionality of a robot that did decide what was best for humans. Humans would just have to decide for themselves what is best for us.

  • @FailBlob If we program them as being inferior or superior, soon they'll act as such. I think that we should program them as equals...and we'll be ok...

  • @FailBlob Consciousness or Self Awareness would come from the memory stored and a way to analyze these memories.

  • lame! if you really wanna make sure the robots dont take over merge them with human minds.... of coarse that means the cyborgs defenetly will take over...

Also there needs to be a lot more reserch into inteligent assistants for wearable computers..

robots are all good and fine but why try to build a robot body and a AI to match it when you have perfectly good bodies on humans...

why not make souls of logic and circutry... not so much importal as replicatable..

  • The start of replicators.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri Indeeeeeed

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri *Freezes up in terror*

  • MACHINE INTELLIGENCE WILL BE THE NEXT STEP IN EVOLUTION... HUMANITY WILL SOON BE.... ANTIQUATED, and if our "children" become anything like us, what do you think the result would be.....?

  • What if he becomes so hyper-intelligent, that he figures out a way to uninstall the circuit-breaker chip?

  • yeah and lets not skimp on the cost of that 'circuit breaker chip' please... But this type of robotics is the future....

  • NO QUANTUM COMPUTERS, NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • huh?
