Very well done! It does seem a bit rushed, though. Especially after the long notes, he goes into the next phrase without any kind of breath. I recently learned this on electric bass and posted a youtube video of my playing. I transposed it to D major to better suit the standard tuned 4 string bass. I try to use hammer-ons, pull-offs and slides to imitate the cello bow on the slurs.
yea, in the last few bars of the second half, he adds an extra beat's worth of notes. . . both times too! I mean, if anyone in the world is allowed to do such a thing, it's Rostropovich, for sure, but how weird!
If I were to get a cello teacher 5 years ago, it would have been him. R.I.P
