  • Yes thanks a bunch.

  • So great to find old songs like this (and the sound is near pristeen- how do u do it?) My wife threw my copy away.

  • At the time I made this video I was running a DJ board into my computer and had my turntable plugged into the board. The video software I was using was pretty archaic and Youtube was compressing the audio on videos pretty badly which is why the bitrate is so low on this vid. Now I send the turntable signal into a preamp and then directly into the computer. I also have better movie software and Youtube doesn't screw with audio like they did, so my videos sound much, much better now.

  • PJ You're the man thanks

  • When music was sooo good. Thanks for sharing. My first drive-in movie was a Jimmy Clanton movie. I became a fan afterwards.

  • NICE!!

  • Wow what a beautiful song by a beautiful man. Thank you.

  • PJ,

You and a few others on here

    constantly amaze me with a

    great collection of lost gems.

Thank You so much for sharing.

  • You're very welcome. I'm pleased to introduce (or reintroduce) you to gems like these

  • It is a beautiful song....thanks for sharing it.

  • my soul is sad like this song

  • Sorry to hear that

  • intimate song beautifull

  • Glad you enjoyed it

  • Oh so Beautifull.thankyou for sharing.

  • A wonderful ballad, by a fantastic artist. My era, the 50's was the greates music ever! Thanks for posting this gem.

    Nettie

  • Been a long time since I've heard this. Nice. Thanks for posting.

  • Glad to reintroduce you to it

  • man that record label brings back so many memories. thanks!

  • Nice post !! this is the same Ace recording company that Frankie Ford recorded on ,Frankies a friend of mine for many years great post , have his Sea Cruise on the Ace labal

  • Frankie's a really cool guy. I used to do a doo wop radio show and he called in. The show was in NJ but it was also broadcast on Satellite and he ended up finding us. I have a few of his Ace 45s. My favorite is Time After Time

  • I know Frankie because I promote original 50s 60s R/R staged events . we did a show with Frankie The Shirelles, the Chiffons , Dickey Lee, The Eldorados, and the Magnificents. . Frankies long time manager passed on a few years ago , Kenny Keene . Kind of kept Frankie on the straight and narrow . But just alittle trivia, and as we say in our business, and a phrase that was coined by late Del Shannon Rock Onnnnnnnnnnn Ken from the Legends Of Rock And Roll Concerts

  • Great song !!! thanks

  • You're welcome

  • A fantastic soothing ballad. 5 stars/favs. Thanks PJ! :-)

  • I listened to this three times. It's just the kind of ballad that I enjoy as ear candy - lush and well crafted. Thanks for posting - it's in my favorites now

  • I think it's Jimmy Clanton's best track. Thanks for the comment

  • cant you find God and enjoy this great music with him? he gave you the talent...so he must approve.....oh well...

  • I don't see why you couldn't

  • Really good one!

  • I agree

  • I have always like Jimmys "Just a Dream" and still have it and the original cover (bought it new when it came out), still a great song, also have Jimmy in a movie that he made but cant remember the title of the movie just now.

But i did a VERY stupid thing. Unlike you people that sold your records, i was moving and stopped at a place and took a

large cardboard box of oldies and put them under a bed, and when I left the next day, forgot all about them, and dont remember the name of the motel.

  • Could I kick myself or what!??!? I had this 45 + Jimmy's double album (Jimmy's Happy/Jimmy's Blue) and other originals by Jimmy. Thinking I had "graduated" to other kinds of music, I sold these treasures in a garage sale. Somebody slap me!

  • It happens to the best of us. When I was younger I sold some killer funk and modern soul records because I was only interested in the 50s and 60s. The dumbest thing is I liked the records but assmued I could easily find them again because they were from the 70s. Luckily I did keep some good soul stuff such as Rick Lovejoy on ABC which turned out to be a mega rarety

  • slap

  • I agree with the person who said Jimmy's voice in the 50's was comparable in quality only to Elvis's.

  • Elvis and Jimmy were completely different singers but both were very good.

  • Got my dsl , sound is great. Such a lovely song. Thank you for sharin. Man this is pure gold, johnnie

  • He sounds like Johnny Ray on this one, but a better voice in my opinion.Very lovely song!

  • I can see where you're coming from. That never crossed my mind before

  • I think Jimmy's voice was the best voice of the 50's, tied w/Elvis. I heard he found God, and is not highly visible.

  • Beautiful sound

  • Super thanks or this one+++++

  • real smooth and clean!

  • PJ, I must agree with girlyjohnnie, you are extremely in tune with these great old tunes!!! And you are right this song is a beaut. Thanks for sharing, you rascal you.

  • That's the beauty of music. It transcends age, gender, race and walk of life. If more people were only open minded enough to accept many forms of music. I was raised to be tolerant of others, be it nationality, religion, musical preference, etc. To me life isn't worth living if you're not able to see things for what they really are. Ok, time for me to stop delving into the land of philosiphy

  • This is one great track,.ktf.

  • Jimmy Clanton recorded some nice records. This one I have never heard...........nice!

  • This is by far one of Jimmy's hardest sides to find. Most people (even Jimmy fans) don't know about this record. I used to play the hell out of this when I had my radio show and people would go nuts for it. To give you an idea of how rare this is, I've had the same copy for over ten years. I'll find an upgrade one of these days :)

  • man i wish i could hear better. My dsl is out and i am having to use dial up till the 8th oct. I hear bits and pieces sounds gorgous. You have such rare finds, you are amazing at your age to apprecciate these so much. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. We would not even know or hear agin in our life's but here, thaank you so much, johnnie p.S. cant wait for my dsl line

  • If you can get a cable line.. It's much quicker and more stable than DSL. I wish you could hear this properly. In my opinion it's a beauty

  • Thanks PJ. Excellent track. One for the favourites!

  • Lovely ballad thanks

  • NICE ONE MATE KTF

  • So beautiful, thanku for this.
