if you want a tablet better then ipad get a tegra 2 device like the EeePad Transformer or the Acer iconia a500. side by side they blow my wifes ipad2 away "the icona A500 at least, i personally own that one and can tell you from real experience."
the quality of the ipad vs this thing is very different. The ipad is years ahead of this, i've seen more advance looking windows computers from the 90s. Look at it like this, when you buy an ipad you have quality in mind. When you buy this you have quantity, price and maybe your kids in mind. (i mean 10 and under kids.)

Nah man. more like 256 mb. Their more expensive one that is being released at the end of this month will have 1 gb. of ram though and it is only 15 bucks more. In addition, instead of a 366 mhz cpu, there will be a 700 mhz one.
whe they put 2GB of RAM memory the refer to ROM Memory, internal storage basically, so yeah 2gb out of the box for space, this is not even roth calling it a tablet, is more of a consumption device.

@sniper1087 resistive doesnt freeze the screen. or make it non responsive i had a resistive samsung phone for a while. samsung corby plus, the screen responds to the smallest touch but acts like capacative. and my new samsung phone galaxy apollo is like 663 mhz with 256 mb ram i beleive. its speedy as hell. the specs are only crap if you compare it to a high end device even then 1gb of ram is overkill for a cell

dude you are dumb your samsung Galaxy Apollo, is a capacitive touchscreen display, you definitely need to educate yourself, before you continue to embarrass yourself do some research, and yes your phone has 677 mhz processor, but you phone isnt capable of running any flash content, or any high profile videos, so no 1080p video playback, nor any high profile 1080p video content, and no android does not run speedy at 256mb, it requires more processing power to run several tasks without crashing.

@iToasterman are you kidding me I used a 512mb ram and I sell phones so I know how it works we have one with 500 mhz and 256 mb of ram and yes it does lag, and yes android phones need more ram for multitasking, yes phones do need higher ram to perform better when you multitask, I have now a high end device because i have tested a lot of phones and know their performance, you phone will never out perform mine, and you phone has no adobe flash player capabilities, I can Multitask with ease.

the quality of the ipad vs this thing is very different. The ipad is years ahead of this, i've seen more advance looking windows computers from the 90s. Look at it like this, when you buy an ipad you have quality in mind. When you buy this you have quantity, price and maybe your kids in mind. (i mean 10 and under kids.)

The uploader wants to create confusion in people and distract them from the real purpose and quality of the Akash tab (to reduce its interest and sale). The video would have been non confusing and better appreciated by all if the title did not contain "better than ipad" dirt line.

whe they put 2GB of RAM memory the refer to ROM Memory, internal storage basically, so yeah 2gb out of the box for space, this is not even roth calling it a tablet, is more of a consumption device.

lol well im sorry but this tablet is 377 mhz processor, my phone has 4 times that, the ram is 256mb, that is just garbage in today's standards, mine has 1gb of ram, my phone of course, I dont have an Ipad but I have an asus transformer prime a quadcore CPU compare to this single core using android 2.2 with "RESISTANT Touchscreen"my tablet runs android 3.2 and soon 4.0 and capacitive touchscreen, Resistant tends to freeze the screen and makes it non responsive, basically you get what you pay for

Thats not the point. It is for people that don't take things like these for granted. Besides, their newer version at the end of this month will have 1 gb. of ram instead of 256 mb and 700 mhz cpu instead of a 366.
Oh yeah, for educating a poor person living in a village, it is excellent device since it runs 360 p. videos just fine. Anyways, we all can't wait for the newer version though.

@sniper1087 resistive doesnt freeze the screen. or make it non responsive i had a resistive samsung phone for a while. samsung corby plus, the screen responds to the smallest touch but acts like capacative. and my new samsung phone galaxy apollo is like 663 mhz with 256 mb ram i beleive. its speedy as hell. the specs are only crap if you compare it to a high end device even then 1gb of ram is overkill for a cell

@iToasterman speedy? im sure you havent seen speedy I have a Galaxy note and I do research, android with that processor lags, studder is present and your experienced is crippled, the storage space 2gb internal, is not enough, and no the ram 1gb is not overkill on an android, since it requires that much resources to use well, and Im sorry resistive touchscreen actually does freeze after a while, there is not way to have resistive and capacitive touchscreen.

dude you are dumb your samsung Galaxy Apollo, is a capacitive touchscreen display, you definitely need to educate yourself, before you continue to embarrass yourself do some research, and yes your phone has 677 mhz processor, but you phone isnt capable of running any flash content, or any high profile videos, so no 1080p video playback, nor any high profile 1080p video content, and no android does not run speedy at 256mb, it requires more processing power to run several tasks without crashing.

@iToasterman are you kidding me I used a 512mb ram and I sell phones so I know how it works we have one with 500 mhz and 256 mb of ram and yes it does lag, and yes android phones need more ram for multitasking, yes phones do need higher ram to perform better when you multitask, I have now a high end device because i have tested a lot of phones and know their performance, you phone will never out perform mine, and you phone has no adobe flash player capabilities, I can Multitask with ease.

@iToasterman my phone uses 1 gb of Ram so you clearly dont know what your talking about, and constantly use a lot of it, th fact that no phone will use all 1 gb is good otherwise if i use your phone it will contantly crash, because it cannot handle heavy multitasking without running out of ram. 256mb, with some partially used by the OS, probably 150mb of ram left leaving you with no more than basic tasks.

@iToasterman you are comparing apples and oranges with a Windows based OS, android is a different story and not all android phones can perform well, the apollo has some lag, that might not be noticeable, but i have seen several video reviews and it shows, other devices lag more and processor means a lot of course it also means the one who makes the processor, like Snapdragon processors, Humming bird processors, Nvidia processors, between others, most out there on dont behave well on android

They can just have PDF textbooks and you are gold. Its a start but overall its good..Doesnt matter if its not like the ipad or Samsung TAB. It works ^^ and works pretty well for its price
