  • Cool...

  • That has got to be the brightest Jacobs Ladder i've ever seen!

  • 5 Stars for the fierce sound of that jacobs ladder! =D

  • LOL who the hell has a pole transformer just randomly laying around?! this is awesome

  • Mmmm, I bet that o-zone smells great

  • In electronics class we made the thing at the beginning with a boiler ignition transformer a couple of rods and a variable speed fan to blow the arc up the rods

  • Man I want one of those transformers...

  • Apparently he stole it right off a pole :-D.

But seriously the corona (ionized air) smell must have been nuts after all that.

  • were the hell do you get a pole pig

  • skuitarman: "w[h]ere the hell do you get a pole pig"

There is one listed on Craigslist as I type ...

  • Give ya a dollar to touch it

  • ill throw in 2

  • You'd have to pay for the coffin as well, though. That kind of current explodes heart valves & muscles.

  • oh rly we had no idea now if ull excuse me im about to go frog gigen in my pick-em-up truck

  • so you want him to kill him self over a dollar?

  • Awesome! What are you using for current limiting...dynamic brakes off a locomotive?? :)

  • I wouldn't want to be caught doing that with a transformer quite that big; I'd use one of those small tar-sealed ones they used in England a long time ago.

  • ...just curious, what's the voltage and current here?

  • WOW! Now, that's a REAL Jacob's Ladder!! Awesome

  • Love it!

  • wow. Hey Yoshi, where the hell did you manage to get a pole pig from?

  • I bought it from a transformer company. I have my own business so it made it a bit easier buy it.

  • he stoll it off a pole!

  • i bet he actually climed up there, pulled the switch, dissconnected the lines, unbolted it, and brung it home

  • hahahahaha yeah!

  • na man he bought it for around $1000 from a distribution plant

  • pOtato

And yeah..man, make a better Jacobs ladder from some copper pipe

Still, pretty impressive at such a low input power. I'd like to asee that guy run full bore on a bigger ladder.

Or discharge some big caps into the pOtato.
