  • I love that Paul doesn't know that his guitar is touching the guitar mic almost all the time

  • we all sadly know why john isn't there :/

  • they tried to make it look like a band of four...

  • What the hell is she wearing?

  • Whoa, talk about bad hair days! They sound alright though. Always a strange distance between George & Paul...............

  • John is not there, so it's not The Beatles

  • Too bad John and Paul are dead

  • @MyHairyBreasts Too bad you're a retardad

  • @GustavoVillarBatera Faul McCartney

  • @MyHairyBreasts oh shit ur also here?

Eleanor Rigby at Rio isnt enough for you?

Well anyway, you know hes alive, your just too proud for assuming that :)

  • <3 .

  • Dangit and I could have seen this on the ABC December 6 1996 when it was out to promote the Anthology.

  • Amazing musicians!

  • *-* Los extraño

  • This cannot be The Beatles without John...

  • @JammerZice True. It's three talented guys who used to work together.

  • There's someone missing there :(

  • In the midst of all this arguing, has anyone noticed how well they follow each other in this clip? It's completely effortless and intuitive. It reminds us all that for every film clip or photo there is of The Beatles, there's probably 10 undocumented hours of time spent playing, jamming, and developing themselves as musicians and songwriters. Sinfully talented? Obviously. But they also WORKED to be what they were. Wonderful clip...

  • @livininomaha A great book called The Outliers lays out a few reasons the author thinks The Beatles were as successful as they were. One of the main reasons he cited was "Hamburg." The band would play 12 hour gigs when they played there. That is where they really built their chops.

  • Paul learned to read music according to the book by Peter Brown. He just says he can't. He's such a smart guy it must have been very easy for him. I don't think the ability to read or write down music has made any difference for him, though. He had such success without it.

  • Paul mccartney reminds me of an annoying uncle who taught me blues chords on guitar he was a pain in the arse but new his stuff

  • No one make it better than Beatles.

  • The only thing that would have made this better is if Kentucky's own Diane Sawyer had done the reporting.

    Still miss ya George.

  • George and Ringo was there...nothing force they for Anthology...DON'T IS PAUL THAT FORCING

  • @minpinful Bullshit: the beatles could not read or write music Bullshit!

My grandfather was a classical bass player for latino groups on the radio back in the 60's... he never learned to read or write period- but he learned how to read and write music... its easier than learning how to read or write a language so im posisitive they picked SOMETHING up over the years....

  • Only paul looks like hes having fun. But thats only because he likes all the attention. George and Ringo nvr really liked being a Beatle near the end of there years as a band, so its only normal that they wouldnt like all that excited.

  • @ThatWasFred ya alright, my "Proof" kindof sucked, but still, u said None of them learned how to read or write music, and i kindof disagree with that, im not going to argue because i dont want to start an argument but i think the statement "none of the Beatles EVER learned how to read or write music" is quite incorrect.. thats just my opinion.

  • A fine tribute to a great artist, Elvis, and a great state, Kentucky!

  • ポールはしゃいでるwwかわいいwww

    うざそうにしてるジョージもかわいいww

    リンゴもかわいい。

  • he's not angry!

  • He people fighting, The Beatles didn't know how to read music. Except after a few years (I forget what year) Paul learned.

  • @Toady373 No, Paul never learned how to read or write proper notation. He admitted as much in a 2007 interview for Nightline with Cynthia McFadden.

  • @minpinful I disagree, ive met a couple people with that opinion of Paul, but its not true at all, u dont even know him, ur just judging someone uve never met.......... I think ur wrong completely.

  • idiot

  • I heard that they couldn´t play their own songs because ...it could be far too expencive to the channel who shoot this one ..none of them 3 wanted to give money to the 3rd person who owns rights to the Beatles songs also...anyway they sounded as a Beatless... one less...

  • Now pop in John and everything would've been perfect.

  • not to make this sound sad, but if john HAD been there, yoko would have too -.- if it was JUST john then its ok :D

  • Ringo looks good in this one. He looks really happy.

  • Fuck, I hate the eighties!

  • Fuck I hate the nineties!

  • There are many negative comments here on the tube that george has made against paul. He(george) looks pissed off at paul here.

  • I agree. He doesn't appear to be into it at all. Probably thinks Paul is hamming it up and trying to hog the spotlight.

  • When I saw this back when Anthology was on TV for the first time I was dissapointed coz George didn't seem to be enjoying himself. I always got the impression that George never wanted to do Anthology in the first place (but for rumours he needed the money; and if that was his reason for participating, it seems to have been rewarding in that sense). I think George even said at the start something about doing the short version of this song. Paul looks like he is thoroughly enjoying himself.

  • i saw in a interview that george doesnt know how to write music he just memorizes what it sounds like now thats talent

  • That's what all the Beatles did. None of them ever learned to read or write music.

  • @ThatWasFred The Beatles never learned to read or write music? Actually, ur wrong, thats a common myth, but that is not true at all. Heres proof: According to Guinness World Records, Paul McCartney is the "most successful musician and composer in popular music history". How could he hav ever acheived that if he still could not read or write music?? The Beatles could Definitely read and write music, its just a rumour that they couldn't.

  • @PauIsAlive Are you serious? That award doesn't mean he literally composes music like Beethoven or Mozart used to. It means he writes music in some shape or form. In this case, by coming up with how it should sound in his head, and playing that with instruments. He still wouldn't know what to do with a piece of sheet music if you put it in front of him.

  • @PauIsAlive actually, i saw a video with Paul admitting that he can't read music at all.

  • @noraacmw I also read a quote somewhere of Paul admitting when hes buying strings he dont know the name of them

  • Man, George and Paul sound great singing together.

  • what year was this?

  • 1994.

  • OOH GEORGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Y'all realize they are performing the song like Elvis Presley did on his first Sun Records single released in July 1954. The A side was "That's Alright Mama"

  • HAHAHA I remember that part of Anthology! It's in the special features disk!

I was telling everyone how much I wanted Ringo's drumsticks! They make the drumming sound so much cooler! :)

  • joan looks hot

  • doooooooooooo! ok, alright!

  • And I don't know why people hunt for signs of tension between Paul and George. There aren't any. They made up about 10 years before this, you just have to listen to interviews from the 80s to know when they reunited.

  • If you look at younger clips of George he has the same expression. I don't think it's angry or embarrassed, just his expression - and it's just the facial hair that makes him look angry!

  • @msradx i agree...George nevere more happy in nothing exibhition

  • my little george <3

  • Why does everyone think George looks angry? He looks like he always does. I can't tell because the resolution is blurry for me, but I think he even smiles at one point.

  • I wonder why George is so embarrassed. He's hating every moment of it!

  • now if only john was there....

  • WHY DID HE HAVE TO BE KILLED!!!

    sob sob

  • I KNOW RIGHT!?

  • KIILL Mark Chapman!

  • now thats something i would do.

  • @LesPaulDude999 Dude, he IS there.

Just like he's there every time Paul or Ringo are on stage, same with George.

  • aw i love George

    :]

    he was so sweet

  • George was always like that with everyone....RIP George we miss you!

  • i noticed a lil, just a LIL tension between george and paul. ringo is just hanging back.

  • "They shared so much success together." What about the LOVE man! The love they shared with their fans and the rest of the world. That's pricesless. Whatever happened to the world since the Beatles split up.

  • rockabilly yeah!!

oh and yes, George does not look happy at all. C'mon Georgie, was it really that bad?

  • George is hilarious -- he looks like he is in pain to be jamming with Paul McCartney.

  • what a pissant you are. note all the thumbs done you get. loser.

  • I wonder why they didn't play a beatle song

  • George looks less than thrilled...

  • Any ideas why they never show all three together in the same shot? The camera could have panned out and got all three in.

  • the shadows of paul and george are shown in the ringo's shot wall anyway...

and not in this song, but other shots of the same anthology have them together in the same place.

  • ringo had some funky hair that day

    great song by the way

    ☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺☻☺

  • great song
