Freakin brilliant! I don't know how long it took to train him to do this but GOOD WORK! I have a GSP and I know there is no way we can do enough to tire them out without doing something like this!
It really didn't take any training. Put him on slow and gradually increase the speed until he's walking comfortably. I had a short leash on him at first and my hand on his back to keep him relaxed and in the right direction, but it only took a couple of times before he was walking on his own without the leash.
Be sure to use the safety clip so that the treadmill stops right away if he pulls away too far.

Oh, and he is always directly supervised of course. Once he starts showing signs of being tired I slow it down before stopping.
