It is late evening, do you want a folk-tale? about death.

Once upon a time there lived Death.

She was scaring-scaring, black-black, as a huge hole, and everyone who died got into it.

Once a Tzar was getting home after a war.

He was defeated - his troops were defeated - he was angry-angry.

And suddenly he heard laughter in the bush - ha-ha-ha and chmok-chmok-chmok - he came closer, looked in.. into.. into the bush and there were a boy and a girl kissing and hugging.

The Tzar grew angry: "I was defeated - and you, you here...".

And he took the girl and threw her.. where-where? into the hands of Death.

The Death looked at the girl and saw she is alive-alive. And the girl sayed to the Death: "If you like, I can tell you about life - about how good is the life - do you want?

but not now - later. And now let me go to my beloved?.. at least for a little minute..."

The Death was surprised. "Are you stupid?" asked she.

But then she thought for a while and decided: "Ok, I'll give them some time".

And she said to the girl "One night, only one night you have, and tomorrow you will run back quickly, my girl, and don't be late!" .

неплохая работа, новсё же нужно было указать, что это по стихам Горького. Потому как идея здесь играет главную роль, а она пренадлежит не автору.

Лиза, конечно-то, молодец, а вот молодец ли я, вешая без её разрешения и ведома её работу, не знаю. Тогда спросить её мнения я не знал как, а теперь стесняюсь.

да, с одной стороны понимаю, с другой стороны все-таки люди узнают ее, потом могут сборники покупать... Я бы так же с радостью купила сборники лучших вгиковских фильмов, например... Хотя лучше наверное написать Лизе, спросить, это будет честнее :).

A wonderful story, beautifully read.

Outstanding! The story is great and the animation is amazing. Unfortunately there are no english subtitles. So english speakers will have to get the story from the visuals only. But the text is read by a child makes it extra, extra special. It would be great if someone had a high quality version so I could translate and creat subtitles. it's a gem!

Well, I have a 60 megs version, which has good quality. The material, it should be noted, is copyrighted, and I admit I shouldn't have put it here. Perhaps a google search for the creator's name (in the end titles) would yield something.
