I appreciate the comments. I imagine that by design the ones here in england arent supposed to come into direct contact either. I've tested them out on really hot barbeque bed of coals and they seem fine, so in the embers of a camp fir I think should be less of a problem. Iethr way you can suspend them using the handle and they still work really well.
yea second to post. Tostabags are now being sold in the US. The are brown and not black like yours. Don't know if they can come in direct contact with coals. We'll keep you updated. Thanks again.
Yea first to post. I see Fred knows where to go to get a good snack. Even if he had to resort to a doggie trick. He's a smart little Yorkie. First I've heard of a "Toastabag". I don't they sell them here in the states, but will keep a eye out for them. good video.
yes bread works well. a flatbread shape like a pitta works best
