lol.... the reason we were not protesting the last couple of years is because the out of control spending was not as evident as it is now, Bush was not firing CEO's at private companies. Bush did not run up a 2 trillion dollar deficit in the period of 4 months. But BUSH DID SPEND WAY TO MUCH!!! He started it and OBAMA is accelerating it!.. oh and guess what, because we decide to protest and believe in fiscal responsiblity we are now classified as security threats by the DHS. I just really wish it was ordinary people organizing this not retired politicians like Newt and Dick. They named it TEA Party which they said stands for Taxing Enough Already. But, the tax rate hasn't changed for years, it's the same. Just doesn't make sense why the fuss. If I started a protest but told people they could protest anything they wanted it would turn to chaos. And that is what this is, Baseless chaos with no distinct point or purpose.

If the bailout is the problem then argue the bailout. I would agree then, but protesting taxes? It's the same tax rate we've had for years. Nobody is paying a higher tax rate now than when the great President Reagan was in office. Just doesn't make sense.

The argument is, bailouts, unemployment, taxes, and spending, everything is bad and the country is falling apart, that's the argument you nitwit, and people have every right to voice their opinion when they can barley keep food on their tables, now if I were to start a protest I wouldn't even begin which subject to complain about, so I'd choose the one that is effecting me the most at the moment, we still have a war and a million other things that need fixing.

Or 48 Liberal Lies....by the same author...they teach the truth about the Reagan Era and policies. He was absolutely without a doubt one of the smartest President's we've ever had...read REAL history not media sham prophetics & critics...IMAO critics are just that...they are critics...not historians and certainly not historically accurate.

I agree w/you and so does Mr. Schweikart that there is no such thing as a "no bias" history...and he doesn't pretend that there is such a thing...instead as a historian he feels the proper way to record history is to show the facts that happened and how and what affected the MOST people not the least people. I'm obviously quite conservative, but I found this approach to be accurate since reading our history books from WWII to present, you would think America was the worst nation on ever.

Hello everyone. Be advised if you are not already aware, Senator Jay Rockefeller has this last week (early april) proposed a bill in the Senate being called the Cyber Security 2009 bill (bill # 773). It is disguised as "defense of commerce" but the active Patriot interpretation of this bill is with another false flag attack it will be used to allow the govt to take control of at least some portions of the internet, perhaps such as sharing sites like this. This freedom too is now under attack.

If Republicans can spend billions on war because they believe it's the right thing to do, why can't the Democrats spend money to create jobs and an educated society because they believe it's the right thing to do? Protest if you must, that is your right, but it seems to be hypocritical to me. I think it's also interesting how the right wing radicals seem to be threatening a civil war because of their opposition to the spending. Dems didn't threaten war because of their opposition to war.

Right-wing radicals aren't threatening civil war...don't look at pundits like Beck as representative of the VAST majority of angry people in this nation right now. In many cases, those "radicals" are advocating peaceful protests like this one. American families are suffering because of the actions of corrupt government that refuses to represent the people, and instead gets paid to represent banks, corporations and other special interests. Beck is just tapping into that to boost ratings.

I agree with the fact that our government is in serious need of repair. I'm not an economics expert. I can only continue to become informed.
