People are born gay as a result of a different balance of hormones in the womb that straight people were exposed to; in the case of males, it's caused by an abnormally high level of estrogen. That's why gay men typically look... well.... like a gay man. The chemicals have some effect on their appearance.

Unfortunately, I followed the path most gay men did and married, still am, as I kept the vows I took. I have never strayed, and never will now, after 27 years it would not feel right for me to do so. I am in awe of the younger generation coming out earlier and earlier, something that would have most likely cost me my life when I was your age. I'm proud of you guys!
