Great video. No rip here but was the unboxing necessary? I just dont know what unboxing proves. Anyway that gun looked pretty clean already, I would like to see this on a soiled neglected gun. Keep up the good vids. Thanks.
I've been having a helluva time trying to keep my Kel-Tec P11 (my IWB CCW) from rusting - the blued finish was worthless, paint always just flakes off, and polishing it didn't help much - and I don't want to resort to getting the thing DuraCoated or whatever. I've always heard of folks using Johnson's Floor Paste Wax, Turtle Wax, Nu-Finish Car Wax, etc. ... have you ever used any of these and how does Flitz compare to those as far as keeping away moisture and preventing rust n' such?
I actually ordered this product before I did any research. My kel tec pf9 is holstered in a crossbreed IWB, and when I sweat it gets on the slide and I have noticed the very light beginings of rust which goes away when i clean it at the end of the day. I saw a forum where gun wax could "waterproof" it and keep the salty sweat from rusting my gun. I ordered a bottle of Flitz, it is not here yet, but after seeing your video and the many positive comments, I am excited and think I chose right!
So I can use it to coat the outside of the barrel right? Im talking about the area where the bullet indicator is (a little cut out on the barrel to see a cartridge). Im just afraid it could mess up the action of the gun.
Thanks brother, thats just what I've been looking for. I am going to order some today and I'm telling them where I heard about it, maybe they'll kick you out a free one.
Hey humans4targets2 I grabbed some flitz rifle and gun wax and I was wondering if I can pop it on the slide of my glock 17 and sig p226 stainless steel. Also if I have to reapply it every I clean my firearms and is it safe to pop some externally ie barrel inside and out and inside the slide after a cleaning session? btw great videos man :)
@hunarf Yes this stuf works great on stainless, and can be used inside the barrel, it is a moisture barrier as well, the glocks do not need it at all, but you can put it on them if you want to.
@humans4targets2 thank you for the info, I usually use ballistol with my glock and I applied some onto my GP 100 which is gleaming. Have you ever put some on satin stainless steel I know it will look good but in my general experience it never hurts to cover all your bases and sorry for the extra question lol
Like usual this is another product i purchased after watching your video...and it was worth every penny i used it on my smith and wesson 629.... looks AMAZING.... thanks again for the review
Holy Cow Hawaii !!! All the good stuff is never close. LOL Im always having to order things that I look around for here in Ohio and everyone always usally looks at me like im crazy.
jade looked so tired when u started this vid what a cute looken bread of dogs they r tex outdoors uses mink oil that u put on ur boots he used it on his 3030 a n22 leaver guns he wiped it on for weeks after he got home from school as u said
people don't confuse flitz polish with flitz wax, they are 2 entirely different products. the polish is actually a very mild abrasive and i wouldn't use it on "old" blueing. the wax is a high quality wax and sealer and is meant to be wiped on, let dry, and buffed off with a cotton rag.
I've used the regular flitz to remove some slight scrathes on my Kimber and it worked great. I guess there was such a demand from firearms users that they made one specifically for guns. I've applied it to my kimber and my S&W .500 and it works great. the fingerprints on the .500 wipe off more easily too. This is a great video!
That gun is so shiny you could shave in it. Good vid. I must say out of all the youtube gun channels, that I have seen, your collection of guns is one of the most impressive.
Thanks Pete, it took me years of collecting to do this, but it is my one and only hobby, and the best part is not only do guns hold thier value but if you keep them long enough they will go up in price, a Smith&Wesson revolver from 30 years ago is worth 4 times what it cost new....
Yes sir, I was thinking of your 586 when I made this video, can't really tell on camera but this stuff changed the surface right before my eyes, im very impressed.

@24Rorschach Sure, I use it on feed ramps, and you can even coat the inside of the barrel!
