TTD is better and me and everybody else on youtube think that even though i've only been on TTD i can tell it's better then kk and i like kingda ka more except on ride TTD is better
you guys are only standing up for your own states park. i bet if you went on both you would know that since its going so fast it doesnt matter that theres only a lap bar.
Aside from lap bars and shoulder bars TTD has more of a fun theme to it with lights and a speedometer and all that stuff kingda ka dosnt really have a big theme. Plus when ur going that fast and falling of that big of a drop u can't feel the extra 30 feet drop of KK that much . So sorry but TTD is better
I thought Kingda Ka flew off the track just like Disney's random playful cartoon. Its title has just caught me, haha the name "cartoon" said so! Oh my.... :-D
Kingda Ka rocks and Top Thrill Rocks and made by the same people so they are both complete adrenlin pumping rides just KK goes faster and taller but KK never seems to stall TTD does more often....

Now to finish that TTD VS. KK battle: They were both made by Intamin, ok. But someone has to ORDER that Coaster. Someone has to call Intamin and say: "We want a record-braking coaster and it should look similar to TTD". In this case it was SFGA. So they wanted to beat CP. They did the same thing once with the Texas Rattler. CP had the tallest wooden coaster (Mean Streak), then Six Flags wanted to beat them and ordered the Texas Rattler. THE END
i think that kingda ka is worse because on TTD you only have a lap bar, so you feel more free and its more thrilling
KK is at six flags, and being the big corperation that they are, they want everyone to be as safe as possible, so they think they need over-the-shoulder restraints. This ride seems less thrilling because your more restrained, making the ride less of an experience.
@thrilljunkie08 WOW tell me how TTD is better huh? Just because it doesn't have a harness doesnt mean that it's 'better', I will rather be safe than a coaster not being safe like you people think .
@Nyyankees56 i have and the launch and no shoulder restraints make TTD better...the launch is more intense and you have way more freedom with just lap bar which adds to the thrill
@Rct3man777 I agree, the drop on Kingda Ka is only 18 more feet, as you will notice when Kingda Ka comes down the main tower it does not drop as far to the ground as TTD, because of the extra bunny hop. The 8mph is not even noticeable. The only thing Kingda Ka truely has over TTD is the bunny hop, but it is nothing special. The big difference comes with TTD lap bars vs KKs over the shoulder restraints. I'd pick TTD over KK any day. Hell they couldn't even be original, they just stole TTD.
