this might be somthing so stupid but am using traktor dj studio 3, and my tracking decks are just saying scratch disabled how do i enable it on a mac, i cant find anything to turn it on
hey man I had the same problem with mine. I had to get a update from microsoft for the firewire settings in SP2 the settings are wrong. there is a link on the korg web-site but if you update traktor scratch to 1.3.0 it does it again the only way to keep it working is not to update traktor until korg bring out a new update.
I was finally able to get in touch with NI and found that scratch v1.3 is the problem. It took this video and multiple forum posts to get them to admit it though...
For anyone considering this setup, STAY AWAY. Get an Audio8 and don't try to use the Zero4/8 or Mackie 'certified' mixers with the TS upgrade kit.
man im having the same problem as you. I havent updated yet to 1.3 im still running 1.0 and ave my firmware updated to 1.6 on my Zero 4. BUt Trakor cannot pick up my CDJ's, it keeps saying unknown device and doesnt pick up any signal. Please help. Any feedback would be great.
I have tried every version of Traktor Scratch and had the same problem. v1.2 worked a couple times, but not reliably. I have spoken with Vangelis Vargas at NI customer support several times and he tells me that v1.3.1 is coming out next week to fix the problem. Give him a call, he can give you the info and get you the update! Reach him at (323) 467-2693 if you're in the US.
THanks man im actually in INdia. But i did manage to get it working. The problem I was facing with my Macbook pro was it wasnt recieving a input signal on my Firwire. But after I updated the software on my mac and firmware on my Korg I was able to get the Firewire to send a signal from the korg to the input on my mac and now everthing is running well. THe only thing I hate right now about the KORG is the headphone volume it is so low, Any solution to that?
I don't think the problem is with your mixer. It sounds to me that you have the multicore wires hooked up wrong. Check that and verify that your input channels are right.
it seems to me that there is no problem with the zero 4, as everything, including the firewire setup, is all working fine. perhaps it is the actual cd's that are the problem. do u have the vinyls that came with traktor scratch, you could try putting those in there. if that does not work, i would suggest you try it on a friends' laptop and see if it works there. i think it can be narrowed down to either the new software upgrade (high possibility) or the actual cds(low possibility)
check this video maybe helps you out :)

Also check that the led light is on timecode cds on your Audio 8. You may have bumped the switch by accident.
