Hey man nice video... Listen... My netbook says that its designed for windows XP and im not sure if i can do it. There is,also, a new question. Where will i find drivers (sound, video etc.) ??
OK...call me stupid but the first option is only possible if you do an upgrade... if you want to do a fresh install your HDD will be formated and the windows ISO will be deleted which means no installation ISO any more... The second option is the same thing... if you make a fresh install your HDD gets formated, you loose your network drivers and everything, and you have no more access to the windows installation files... am I right, or am I missing something here?
@JSA19882007 There are already many videos showing how to do it with USB in youtube, just look for "How to install Windows 7 from USB" in the search bar.
Thank You Man! It was really helpful and you just saved my life. I had a pc and it's DVD drive is not working. So I had to install Windows 7 in this process.
Your a life savior, i have been trying to fix my sis net book for so long and now i finally did it after watching ur video.. awesome dud keep it up.. lowendguru rules!!
@datvaslui Installing on a netbook with no OS would require a USB drive. The whole point of this video is to do it without a USB drive. Please notice that most of my videos are targeted to novice users with little expertise and few technical resources.

if I download Windows 7 to my netbook this way, will it delete all my original files, so it starts from scratch, or do they stay?
rockrocks14 1 year ago
@rockrocks14 During the installation process you get the option to keep your previous files.

But I read that it is so fast to use a USB, and everyone has one these days, only need a 4 GB
Harley04 1 year ago
That's the point of the video, it shows an alternative way of doing it.
