corbin was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! he's really talented! and was absolutely believable as a dominican from washington heights. there were times when I was watching him I forgot that he wasnt dominican lol. he's amazing! all the corbin haters can go KICK ROCKS!!!!!

Ok, this does seem like a better casting choice than Corbin Bleu as Usnavi. Still, I feel really uncomfortable about In the Heights bringing in all these mainstream pop names. I don't know, it just feels like they're...selling out...

@supersingerevan Just the opposite. If they *were* selling out (the seats in the theater), they wouldn't be doing the celebrity role thing. So, do you want Jordin Sparks, or no ITH on Broadway? That's probably the real choice here.

@jeffwalsh I really don't think ITH has to worry that much about their ticket sales. It's still one of the hottest tickets out there. I'd prefer to see a relative unknown get their chance to make a name for themselves.

@supersingerevan Hottest ticket? Nope. The house was only 77.2% full this week (you can see the grosses on broadway world dot com). If you follow the ticket sales, you'll always know when your time to see a show is running out. And that % of the house was a lot of discounted seats. Based on % of the house filled, it looks like the third lowest-grossing musical on Broadway (fourth if you count Come Fly Away, which closes in a few weeks). Without these big names, ITH would have to close.
