no jumping is right, the rest is wrong! u r always running, and running FAST! there r tons of attack combos, u can use "fast" "strong" and "group" with different attack combo animations for steel and silver swords and there r spells and awesome potions, the graphics are awesome, story is great, there's nudity and... interactions with females... and combined with playing an awesome character - this is one of the greatest games i'v ever played!

The most important thing in Role-playing-games is the role-playing, no?

So basically immersion, things like jumping, walking, interaktion with the world are important to carry the immersion, but a Role-playing-game can still be good without them. Witcher would have been better with these things, but it's not less a good RPG without them.

Actually, Witcher's gameplay WAS terrible. Combat system sucked hard, mindless rhytmic click-to-kill; interface was terrible (...and it was even worse in W2 o_O ); it lacked variety of equipment... hell, it lacked ANY variety in gameplay, God damn 50 hours of click-click-click.

It had very good plot tho', and some other nice features, so the whole game was okay, but I see how someone can dislike it. Sequel repaired many faults of its precedessor and it's very good cRPG indeed.

Also forgot to say.I do not like jumping.It is useless .Why do you need jumping in combat ? I prefer more realism.Better dodge than jump.Running is also useless for Witcher game because locations not so big as in TES games.combat system is not good but not bad either.Some monster are bigger,stronger,slower and you have to use strong attacks to kill them,other are smaller,weaker,faster and you need to use fast attacks.
