I'm not sure of the whole story surrounding his going to the Yankees, but there really doesn't need to be more to the story. the Yankees and Red Sox are bitter rivals, and there's typically animosity by fans of the team they left if they go to the other (so basically the BoSox fans are bitter that he went to the Yanks).

I was at that show at Avalon and Fenway is next door, and the SOX weren't drunk yet, they had just swept the Angels and the band announced that they were advancing on to play the Yankees- the crowd went nuts!!Like 30 minutes after the game ended, the Sox crept onto the stage and sang the last 2 songs with the band! Myles was actually wearing a sox hat thru most of the show, but gave it to somone in the crowd. One of the best shows I have eva seen, and then to add the sox into the mix was amazing

My God this is amazing. I love the Red Sox and I love Alter Bridge. This was such an amazing time...just a couple weeks before the Red Sox won the World Series, and there were so many important things happening in my life at that time. Seeing this makes so many memories come flooding back. Also not to mention Alter Bridge has their 2nd album coming out this fall and the Red Sox are going to win the World Series again this fall!
