  • You guys think my mom can cut my dog's hair? She's a professional hair dresser. (for humans)

  • Would be nice if I could actually see what is going on.

The photographer needs to learn how to light the subject properly.

  • I wish I had seen this before I tried to do my poor old pooch (18 yr old Springer Spaniel). She has low and high spots and her coat is only half done because the clippers STB(explicative deleated). I washed her down while my wife went to Wally World and got new clippers but now she's wet and the rain is starting. Will have to finish tomorrow! I intend to STUDY this vid!!!

  • Porque não acendo um isqueiro eu você, você iria ficar mais colorido do que ele né ...

  • Sorrty, but you used a black dog, with no lighting on the subject ? You need to sack Christian Munoz-Donoso, should be Christian Munoz-Dinosaur

  • just did my minit sch..haha she was sooo calm,...but she kinda looks like a hot mess lol <3

  • what brand clippers do you use?

  • lighting is bad!

  • @graham204 trust me your dog is not the only one

  • Im sort of a grooming heretic lol i use my guard combs against the growth of the hair. I also lower my grooming arm and slip the noose under one armpit so that the dog is still secured but the head and neck are free for me to work with

  • how can you see the video with all the words on the screen? I cant see any of the videos by expertvillage.

  • Would have been better with better lighting...

  • @graham204 mine too! haha

  • if he does fall off the table, he would get hung

  • @graham204 lol I know what you mean my dog if it goes outside will be laughed at by the others dogs in the neighborhood.............

  • I am yet to see a single useful video from this "expert' village. It should be the dumb village indeed!

  • Many dogs get injured or die because groomers believe such uneducated statements. Groomers also get bit because they don't know how to properly use the grooming loop or the grooming arm.

  • Your statements about the - Grooming Loop - 1:20 ....."so your dog won't fall off the table". Who ever taught or told you that is uneducated about the proper use of the grooming loop. The Grooming Loop was never meant to keep a dog on the grooming table nor will the - Grooming Loop - keep a dog from falling off the table. The -Grooming Loop- used properly is a safety restraint to protect both dog & groomer during certain grooming proceedures. Sad that many groomers do not know how to use one.

  • i wish the dog wasn't black :-( its so hard to see

  • where can i get a pair of clippers..like that..please send the info...my dog needs a pair of good clippers..she's a black lab and her hair never ends..it;s all over my house..iv'e been brushing her for a week..i need sum help..please send me the info..

  • @Rochell0 there is no point in buying dog clippers, lol we bought some decent ones at walk-mart for 50$ ment for human hair with 7 different clips and works just fine. they are over priced for no reason because its the same as normal human clippers, i've compared.. you just gotta make sure its ment for thick hair thats all. i do my dog at home because he has trust issues, and thats what i use.. but NEVER go near the face with it. i do that manually with scizzors facing away from the eyes

  • my dog has hair not fur! can i USE the same clippers I would use on my hair? he's part poodle? thanks

  • The writing is covering the picture .. can't see the movie

  • Turn off CC. The up arrow on the far right of the toolbar will allow you to do so.

  • sorry i forgot you gotta be great at spelling to be a good groomer , ps got advanced city and guilds in dog grooming and won four international grooming comps , but hey what do i know !

  • cant think why anyone would take advise from her , her clipper control is terrible, giving me a laugh watching it !

  • you spelled advice wrong. I don't think I'll take advice from you.

  • Thank you for the video. Going to be cutting my dogs hair for the first time. Cheaper to buy the clippers and do it myself then keep talking him to a groomer and having to work around the time required to do that.

  • @ neostar9:

Me, too! I don't wanna be the guy who takes his dog into the stylist after I've messed up the haircut!

I like these do-it-yourself videos on youtube.

  • thanks for this video it is helpful. as a suggestion I would like to see a lighter colour of dog as it would be easier to see and also a small dog.

  • lol!! sounds like my problem

  • thanks it is very helpfull, i can savea bit of money

  • Very helpful...thanks, Anne-Marie

  • ONE 40 blade and a load of comb attachments? WOT? 40 & 50 blades are used mostly for sanitary clips and poodle feet & face etc, there are different BLADE sizes for different lengths, NOT COMB ATTACHMENTS ON A 40 BLADE, THATS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!

  • She is right ~ & is professional.....although not taking much off the dog. Obviously, the owners want a longer look & the dog is just getting a clean up.

  • watch this.. its much better..nd its 4 a shih tzu :]

Shih tzu groom (short pet trim) part 1

  • can yu do a shi zu hair cut.? and put it on youtube

  • Y'all down below--a well-trained dog will be very still for groomings. If yours isn't, try teaching it to be. Some dogs, such as poodles (esp. Standards) and the Portuguese Water dogs are well-known for their tolerance to, and even enjoyment of, long periods of grooming. My Standard is stock still and she's *anything* but half dead!

My Standard is black--yeah, very hard to get her to show up on camera even in the best of times. Can't even tell where her face is unless it's shaved.

  • yah good fucken job(to bad a normal dog dosnt just sit there) this shows me how to cut a half dead dogs hair THANKS ALOT

  • Stubid Video

  • would be better with a lighter colored doggie.

  • I am a groomer and all these videos look so easy. I must get the dogs from hell cause very few stand there that well behaved

  • Well my boyfriends dog is hard to cut the only thing I can do to him is cut his back and the top of his head, when u try to do his legs or face he pulls away from you and you are there for hours tring to finish him. So I know what you mean by dogs from hell I wish his bog was that behaved!

  • Good job! I want to get a clipper so I can groom my mini schnauzer at home. Thanks for the video!

  • Wow, you clippers way better than mine. I have spent the last 2 hores trying to give me dog a hairs cut and she still looks orrible. I am starting to believe that the money the goomers charge is way worths it. Tanks for the vidios thos.

  • Very nice. I don't have to shave my dog though, it's a yorkie. XD Good job, anyways.

  • yeahhhh!!!nice video and great instructions... but I agree with everyone else!!! you should have used a lighter colored dog!! it's very hard to see... specially with a dark dog, dark clipper...

  • many thanks for the lesson. a white or light coloured dog could have been easier for us to see but i still got all the basics from your video.

  • Never use a black dog for video..white shows better

  • Great Job
