Sorry this press person isn't very good because he's asking silly questions but i'm loving elicia and burke in the sound of music i've seen it 3 times and it's absolutely fantastic seriously it's the best musical i have ever seen in my life the best of the best go elicia and burke!!!!!!!
Oh i just saw the sound of music just last week. You both just sounded beautiful. I really liked the set changes the set changes are soooo good they change fast. Now i really want to go to another musical at the Princess Of Wales Theatre
you have a point.that was a bit harsh. However, I still think he's a bit stiff even after he opens up to the children and falls in love with Maria. I want to see more facial expression from him, I also hoped that he'd play an instrument since he was described to play the violin and guitar before he appears on stage, Plummer did so, why didn't Burke? When they had the contest show on TV they needed a Maria who is both a disciplinary and vulnerable, I think the same should apply to the Captain.
I saw the show twice within one week. I have to say that Burke Moses lacks emotion and humanity for the role. I just wish he could become more convincing with his transformation, maybe the trick lies in perhaps pretending to play the guitar or the violin with them! (the children I mean) He is only good in the show because, everyone, EVERYONE else is extremly good, otherwise, he is really mediocre
Okay, lacking "emotion" and "humanity" is a tad harsh. Burke plays Von Trapp with the steadfast militaristic tone that is needed for the character and if that comes across as emotionless, Christopher Plummer played the role the same way.
Burke's Von Trapp does soften as the story progresses, as he's supposed to, and his rendition of Edelweiss is heartfelt.
I do certainly agree with your comment that "EVERYONE else is extremely good."
wow they both(elicia and burke) joke so much together!!!!
