  • The whole Freedom Party thing is totally implausible and sort of ruins the last four books.

  • This was beautifully put together. I really liked the music and the general direction of the opening, but I was a little disappointed by the synopsis itself. It had some spelling and grammar errors, and the informal speech in some places were a bit off-putting. I also think it might be a good idea to have the text fade in and fade out instead of scrolling; it looks neater, then.

  • @BlitztheDragon

Thank you for the comment and for viewing the video, I do apologize for the errors in spelling and grammar but the video was made in a very limited time frame and as for the fading I unfortunately was unable to do this because the video was required to be 1:45 or less for the assignment. Maybe I will upload a reedit of this using suggestions from the users. Again thanks for the view!

  • @chahyll No problem. And I would love to see a more refined cut of this. I absolutely love the Timeline 191 saga.

  • Fantastic job!

  • great video! i'm a fan of turteldoves books and its great to see that fans make videos of his work!

  • Very well done! For the time being, I´m reading "The Great War: Breakthroughs" and I´m looking forward to American Empire and Settling Accounts. It´s a pity that Turtledove´s books were not translated into my mother tongue - German - even though I have no problem with that so far. It´s just a pity that here in Germany only a few people know his works.

  • Damn, that guy at 1:07 didn't make it too far...

  • aswome synopisi by the way although it would have been helpful to mention the events form how few remain because they are what setp up the events that happen in the rest of the series

  • I mentioned before that I wanted to include those events, but the time limit set by my teacher just didnt give me the adequate time in which to include everything, thanks for the comments!

  • oh cool i see i hope your teacher liked it then cheers

  • The music in the beginning sounds a lot like the 'Leave No Man Behind' song from Black Hawk Down. Am I right?

  • yes you are, thanks for viewing!

  • erzmagus, wth are you talking about, lolz?

  • I'm good in european history and give your movie a little thought. The First World War would have gone completely different. Then Austria-Hungary was doomed to fall apart even when winning the war. United Great Germany would therefore still be an ally to the North, so your dictator in the south would have trouble with them. Don't you think?

  • Um, he did?

You should read these books, it would help a little bit, the movie is very very very basic information and is based on a movie from the 3rd series of books in the story line.

  • the book series is timeline 191 by the way

  • Good video, really good video. What was the criteria for the project?

  • We were to make an intro to a fake movie of our creation. It had to be under 1:45 and thats about it. Thanks for the compliment

  • Please give me some thought on that

Lex alias erzmagus at your sevice

  • Russia is neutral because the russian revolution took place without Lenin and the republic still exists but is shattered to core. in siberia and mongolia the mad dictator-warlord-god of war ungern von sternberg is ruling a vast empire. So I don't know what the shattered civil war-china and the in-war-neutral japan would have done now, highly probable dealing with another.

  • no lenin was still there but since the russian army was back in russia before the may revolution they were able to crush any dissent in russia, china is primarly occupied by japan who afer ww one took over most of asia do to the fact the union and germany had theie hands full with eruope and America oh and in 1931 japan and the Union have a breif war over canadian gold and oil

  • I should read that timeline but I also like to discuss propabilities especially in English because I need to practice since I'm out of schcool.

  • So the fascist leader of the confederate states has likely France and Italy as its allies. France have seen social dissent in between wars and is likely to collapse against them, even winning the war had the dissent and so loosing it would even more. Mussolini rules a smaller Italy, Venice and Milano in Germanys hands. Austro-Hungaria collapsed shortly after the war with Great Hungaria in the East, German Austria, Czechoslovakia and Slovenia in the East. Rebels are all along Great Hungaria.

  • the confederacy allies with franve ( under military dictatorship ), japan and britian run by the Fuher Winston Churchill no im not joking this actually happens in the book series see timeline 191 on wikipedia for more details

  • Whether its Fuhrer Churchill or Mosley without winning wwI either one of them had the character to fight against socialist movements which is through the failure of russian revolution even more fiercely fighting because there is no corrupted socialism/comunism in Russia and concept of the enemy like the cp of Stalin. France also needs to go through fighting with socialist movements so I see the 1930s are either fascist or socialist. The fascists have higher chances. Thanks for an answer.

  • well the u.s. has a socialist persident if that makes sense. in 1882 abe lincoln who was never assassinated took the left wing of the republican party and made the socialist party effectivly killing the alreadt dying gop and becoming the democrats primary opposition

  • What happened in the end of wwI? the north allied with germany came to germanys help with tanks to fight the british one. So later there stands a large expedition force from United Germany, with the mostly german parts of the shattered austro-hungarian empire, for help against fascist south. In France are either the arnarcho-syndicalists (radical socialists but likely to be democratic) or fascists, Italy has Mussolini and Britain may be socialistic or the same as in a won war.

  • I know, i was going to but i couldnt find any really good footage to use for that :/ it also had to be 1:45 or under, and you saw how much i had to cram into that already, lolz if i had more time, i would just do a 15 minute short of the great war, but i am a loley 17 y/o student so its not looking good

  • You forgot to mention the Second Mexican War

  • the music i used was from Black Hawk Down, idk remember the name, ty man

  • cool video! I love TL 191

by the way, what's the name of the music you used?
