worth noting:

1. if IT leaves the Administrator password blank, they're not very serious about security anyway.

2. there are other freely DL'able programs such as Offline PW Recovery that do the same thing as you did to remove/reset the NT/2k/XP/2k3 PW without buying or pirating software. maybe not as point-clicky tho.

i'm not suggesting your methods aren't as good, just that theres definately more than 1 way to do it. good information.

oh i understand. i'm not saying you did. the fun in doing stuff like this is finding the many ways to accomplish the same thing. theres almost always more than one way to beat the system. i only suggest another method because its freely available. these are fine examples and good information to know. i actually had to use my administrator PW removal method just today on a customer's PC that forgot what they set.

heh it can be as simple as that by removing the CIMOS battery.ull find it on the motherboard. looks like a coin, all you gotta do is remove it and place it back later.

Not a bad tutorial, chances are if your work is blocking websites, they themselves are using a proxy server. Most techhies that setup proxy servers also tie down internet connectivity to their proxy server, so that people who remove the proxy server can't access - so that will stop you, you will need to use a Tunnel.

Windows XP will only ever not have a password on 'Administrator' on XP Home, during installation, XP Pro will ask you to set a password :]
