well for one, one cannot simply fly into mordor. there are nazguls and saruman. saruman, if gandalf had not died, would have been much stronger. he would have smote down the eagals with his lightning. If they manage to get pass saruman and get to mount doom. the ring would have exerted its fullest power on frodo thus pocessing him. He would not throw it in. and they would be surrounded by the 9. Gandalf, according to the first book, can only take down 5 nazguls. they would have been raped. xD

cont: and that was on weather top, gandalf was up against 4 (correction) and they were on horse back. Now they'll be on "dragon back" and this will make it much harder for everyone. If you have the eagals to fight against the nazgul it would fail. for one they're carrying people so they don't have that much mobility. 2 the nazgulz would have seen him coming and stopped him from afar. The book also mentions one last balrog in Barandur itself, the strongest of them all next to the one in moria.

I'm just saying... Sauron was watching for the ring, had one of the eagles tried to enter Mordor, the Nazgul would have stopped it and his armies would have been waiting. Sneaking in allowed them to draw Sauron's forces out of Mordor, which was effective because he assumed they would use it against him, not try to destroy it... the vid wasn't that funny anyway.
