  • Love these two, John Barrowman is really good and Sally Ann Triplett is amazing, as usual.

  • pause it at 3:21 and look at where johns hand is lol

  • This is great!

  • thumbs up if you noticed his hand going up her skirt at 3:20

  • 12 people are like school on sunday...no class.

  • This is magical! I saw this show so many times in the West End when it was on. The whole cast were amazing! Sally Ann Triplett rocks!

  • 11 people didnt like it!!! Beyonce´s fans for sure!!!

  • 11 people are the nominee of the GOP.

  • 11 people are the nominee of the GOP.

  • loved it! was smiling all the way through it!

  • LOVE

  • I'm in love with John Barrowman. Beautiful beautiful man

  • Damn, Captain Jack! Why don't you ever try this when the aliens invade!

  • i love the fact that at the end it looks as though he is looking into your camera lol

  • @ COMMENTS re: obvious homosexual. So was COLE PORTER! :-)

  • He is my inspiration for the same roe this spring... He is amazing, & so passionate in his characters!

  • Why does John put his hands up her dress at 3:20?

  • @AtticusAttrocity Cole Porter musicals have always been … written for an adult public. Just think of the lyrics of ” let's do it” or the uncensored version of “easy to love”.

  • Love this!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

  • Wow. I love John Barrowman. I did not know he was in this show!

  • the one i saw was better

  • my high school performed anything goes this week!

i played in the orchestra and i loved all the songs :p

  • we did this performance today but half way through one of love songs part of the set fell over and was really funny!! John is so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ilovehim♥

  • where's her tap shoes

  • Search 'You're The Top Reigate Grammar School' for a really really really good version!

  • it was funny, because when we did this show at school, one of my dad's first comments was, "But strauss didn't write any symphonies!" haha classical music genius.

    john did excellent here :)

  • @fantasylover42 johann strauss didn't write any symphonies, but richard strauss (early 20th century) did :)

  • @ev13191 well, I guess their words poetic were kind of pathetic. Oops. ;P

  • is it just me or does john look to hurt himself at 2:01 when he swings his leg??

  • I hope that he didnt hurt himself ! Perhaps his dance belt slipped .

  • After watching him perform this on CiN (i think that was it i cant remember, you'll have to search around abit :S) he seems to do the same thing there aswell so i think it may be part of the choreography

  • Yes-I think it was part of the staged movement .

  • Wow this is a fabulous performance, everything worked so well and just flowed, with fantastic energy of course.

  • I played in the pit orchestra for our schools production

  • Really? An OBVIOUS homosexual? I'm gonna guess you're an expert on spotting us? Dude, really?

  • Whats funny is that he was up for the character of Will in Will and Grace ,but was thought not gay enough-too masculine.

  • Nah he turned it down because he didn't like the stereotyping of gay men. Saw it on a doco.

  • Andy-I would not doubt it ! I liked the character of Will, but he was a little queen.

  • @teeceetn

who cares about the mans life style hes is talented he is a performer he entertains us, life style has nothing to do with it

  • @teeceetn Dunno who you were talking to, but he was told (Barrowman) that he was too straight to be Will in Will and Grace.... So you know, not too obvious of a gay xD

  • That was awesome! Thanks for this lovely clip! ^-^

  • his smile at the end is so cute i love him so much xxxxx

  • he's so great and amazing

  • lol 2:00

  • wot yr was dis??????????

  • I adore this song and the way they act it.

I'm sure thats what scott thinks (!)

  • OMG...the title of this video is too much to handle.

  • I'll be the top, to Mr. Barrowman's bottom..... ;X

  • You sure have a dirty mind, man.

  • Says "peter piper"... LoL Don't we all have dirty minds to some extent?

  • Heh, well, yeah, good point. Glad you didn't take the bait and fly off the handle (which is what people generally do online). Oh yeah, about Peter Piper, there are definitely plenty of double-entendres in nursery rhymes:

" If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?"

But I guess this is getting a bit off-topic, eh?

  • Hey, I'm guilty of that all the time.. No worries! I'm not like most youtube jackasses. Have a good one. :D

  • Cole Porter + Barrowman = Best idea ever.

He is just so classic. He fits Billy so well.

  • 3:20

    Nice groping John :-D

  • I Loooove his face in end! lol

  • Thaks for this posting. I believe that Cole Porter was the greatest-ever lyricist. And that includes the Gershwins, Berlin, Rogers, Hammerstein, et al.

  • 1:58 Is possibly my favourite piece of choreography ever invented. Gets me every time :D

This is so marvellously camp, it's one of my favourite cheery-uppy videos of all time.

  • You are AMAZING for uploading this! I've recently fallen in love with this song, but I had only ever heard Cole Porter actually sing it. This is amazing! Thank you!

  • This is brilliant

  • Triple Threat !

  • A local church in savannah is doing a production of this and im adutioning for it. Any tips?

  • where can i find a mp3 download of this song?

  • it only takes you a programm called DVDvideo soft free studio...

you can d/l the audio from a youtube video!

  • You can always try to get it as a torrent, but the cast recording is available on CD. Just make sure you buy the 2003 London Revival Cast version if you want to hear John and Sally Ann

  • i am getting the audio of this production in the mail soon

  • The audio isn't that hard to get, but the actual video i haven't been able to find more than this and De-Lovely

  • You don't happen to have the rest of this show, do you?

  • see my comment

  • I actually, think John's the "bottom," but it's still a great version of the song. ;-)

  • hahaha too true

  • Thank you! You just made my day :-D

I miss that brand of random american humour so much I want to try it in the UK...know it wouldn't work though!! lol

  • i prefer the version with patti lupone

  • I also saw this show as foreverkate did. It was 4 or 5 years ago. And I didn't know of him either. I just thought he looked like Tom Cruise or something.lol BUT! John barrowman was incredible as a stage performer! I can't remember this actress but she was excellent too. The whole cast was simply amazing. Such a great great show.

  • John barrowman was great she was awful compared to patti. I mean imagine if patti and john were in the same show

  • <3 john barrowman :D

love it n he is right "when you listen to it i bet you, you can remember it or whitle the tune after 5 days"

  • I ACTUALLY SAW THIS!! Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. At the time I had no idea who John Barrowman was, but it was the BEST musical I have ever been to. It was only a few years later when I was looking back at the programmes that it clicked. Aaaaah!!!

He's awesome. The show is even awesomer.

"In olden days a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking, but now heaven nows, anything goes!"

  • John Barrowman Was A Born Billy Crocker!

  • my dads ametur [sp?] group is doing this play all week :)

    im seeing it on saturday,

:) my dads playing the english guy woop (Y)

  • best version of the song imo

  • I wanna see more of this performance so much. They're both so amazing in it.

  • I like her voice in this song!

  • i kind of like patti lupone and howard mcgillin better. maybe thats just what i'm used to. patti's voice is better in any case though.

  • Nah

    I prefer Sally Ann.

  • Hey princeofpazal, which 2 lines did S.A.T get round the wrong way? I listened carefully but couldn't tell... :P

  • hey does anyone know where i can get a video of the complete performace with john and sally?

lol we're doin this as our school play, i got the role of lord evelyn lol its such a fun character to play haha =)

    xoxoxox

  • they're fantastic!

  • he has such great teeth!

  • Nice to see that even great professionals get the lines wrong from time to time!

S.A.T. got 2 of the lines the wrong way round; recovered well though :-)

There's a great moral there: gloss well enough and the audience doesn't notice! And in terms of performance that's the best advice anyone can be given.

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!

  • Hey does anyone know where I can get this on youtube as a soundtrack so it has better quality??? That would be great! Thanks just put your response in a comment on my channel! Thnx!

  • Love this!!! lol!! O ya!

  • FANTASTIC!!

This Performance is the TOP :D

  • John Barrowman and Sally Ann Triplett are amazing! Bravo!!!!!

  • I saw these two and they both blew me away, especially John Barrowman. He stayed in my mind, then I saw him on T.V!! He's much more suited to the stage than the T.V!

  • I saw a Hiughschool preformance of this, and the girl who played Reno had the most amazing voice I've ever heard.

  • this was so great when i saw it!

  • Lucky lucky woman! Especially at 3.21! =P

    What a performance

    Never get tired of this!

  • Wow. 3.21. I am rather jealous!!

btw sorry i think i might have accidently hit span instead of reply at 1st =[

who put those buttons next to each other?!

  • Wow...are'nt they both fantastic..wish I could have seen this on the stage in London..

  • WOW. Amazing. Playful, infectious, fun. Porter would be proud.

  • This is an amazing performance.

  • john barrowman - hes captain Jack Harkness in dr who!!! :D

  • I love Reno's voice!

  • I love Helen Dallimore singing this :]

  • Mr Barrowman is the top indeed!

    LOVE this performance!

  • do u have all of this? message me =] x

  • God damn. I fucking love this song now. (THANKS A LOT, BARROWMAN.)

  • This is why John has played the role 3 times to date!!!! He's superb!!!!

  • o wow, I really loved watching this. They obviously had fun with it. I'm playing Reno in my school's production and I'm super excited to sing this with my Billy!!

  • i enjoyed that

    barrowman rules !

  • my high school is doing this right now.

  • words are too tame to express how much i love this entire show

  • comment from Eilstraee is the best lol! :)

  • Captain Jack Harkness in a sweater-vest? And singing to a woman?

    Aye-yai-yai. This is great. XD

  • What fun performers! Thanks for posting this.

  • *dies* lucky! I want to be able to see Barrowman in a musical. Thats awesome.

  • I'm playing Reno in my schools production of this! wooo

  • Ahh, it looked like they had so much fun performing this number, so of course, it was extremely fun to watch. I LOVE this song.

  • i LOVE john

  • I'm doing this song for a musical theatre class with another girl of course and its awsome

  • OMG! you two have amazing voices- and you know how to sell a song! You also had a great director- very good staging.

  • you're a bastard

  • I knew John Barrowman was famous...I just wasn't feeling very articulate when I made the comment and said you instead of they. So don't insult me. Constructive critisism is fine... but that was just rude

  • which characters are these two?

  • Reno Sweeney and Billy Crocker

  • Check out Carol Channeling's version of this song in the voices of Merman and Lupone, funny as hell!

  • This is great

does anyone having the backing for this song

or know where to get it from

i am auditioning for reno in my school production

    ?

  • my mum isplaying reno next week, we have the score. xxxx

  • I love this song so much! I was given the soundtrack CD of this edition for my bday the other day. 'Blow, Gabriel, Blow,' makes me laugh so much. You wouldn't understand the joke unless you've read the Georgia Nicolson books.

Does anyone know if soundtrack sheet music of the show is available for flute?

  • I get it the comment often: I'm a Gabe and a gay!

  • I honestly didn't mean it like that. There's a running joke in the Georgia Nicolson books that the song reminds me of, that's why it makes me laugh.

  • pls tell the joke

  • No point, you won't find it funny cos you haven't read the books.

  • I went to that play in 2003! And I didn't realise John was in it until today! hehe! XD

  • wow, john barrorman is superb!

  • charliefarley: Are you by any chance at arts ed? If not then you probably hear a lot about her because she is pretty good. Not so much in this however...

  • i love dalli's version of this!

    its much better!

  • Ergh! That woman makes my flesh crawl! I'm sorry to say that but I hear so much about Sally at college that I can't stnd her anymore!

  • Fair enough!

  • shes so lucky, it must be amazing to be able to perform on stage with him!

  • Now I know why Cole Porter was famous for his rhymes! They're so weird they make me laugh, but still great. And hot damn, John is so so so goy-geous!

  • Where was this performed?

  • I think it was the London run in 2003. You can get the soundtrack CD of that version, which JB is on, so this must have been that one.

  • i love sally ann tripleet and john barrowman!

    love the vid,

i'm a musical theatre freak lolz

  • wat is his hand doin at 3mins 20secs?!?!?!

i mean...and hes gay! it makes no sense!

  • he's acting.

  • That's what you do on stage, amazing isn't it!!

  • im sorry if i OFFENDED u in sum way! but...no need 2 be rude!

  • @louloutally

I know this comment was put on here years ago, but I was wondering the same thing, myself. What was his doing with her skirt and her leg? I noticed she draped it back. I'm not sure that was acting. Maybe he was joking around with her. He has a great sense of humor.

  • @mjimme I think alot of us wondered about that little move................

  • Is there a clip of him in "Chicago"?

  • He was in it when Jennifer Ellison was in it.

  • He was also "Billy Flynn" in Chicago.

  • whats this from?x

  • Anything Goes

  • ah! theres the john i first saw and fell in love with!!! its great hes on TV and that now but i always preffered him as a musical star. saw this twice at drury lane

  • He wasn't as well known as he is now, but he still puts on a good performance as "Billy Crocker" - my mum and dad saw him in the West End when it transfered.

  • luv the cheeky smile

  • I saw this at the National (before Barrowman was really famous for Doctor Who) and i really enjoyed it!

  • you can just tell john is in his element here- cheesey lyrics and a dance routine! lovin the cheesey grin at the end!! too cute!

  • Heehee... brilliant!

But where exactly was his hand going at 3:21?! O_O

  • yeah i noticed that! but she didn't seem to!

ace, awesome, i love them both!

  • :-o

    Maybe she didn't mind.....

  • Damn I love this show!

  • She's right. He is the tops!
