  • I'm a nearly 20 year old female from the USA. I'd say abortion would possibly be the best option for her (up until a certain stage in the pregnancy of course), but her emotional state plays a big part in this. She might not be emotionally mature enough, might have her doubts, thus leaving the possibility of regret. This is tough.. Adoption might be the safer choice in the long run.

  • This is why I'm still a virgin . . .

  • @SakuriraNyu Abortion is a surgery! Dumb ass, you dint even know how to spell, don't comment what you don't know. BTW it's Surgery*

  • 5 weeks do not need a cirgury.

  • With all due respect, one of the challenges of an abortion includes the death of a life that you helped create. I don't say this to say abortion shouldn't be a choice, but I think this fact should be included in the decision making.

  • @jhulsla No shit, Sherlock! But think about the facts: thousands of animals and billions of fetal-like organisms were already killed to help your sorry ass to survive the childbirth of your mother. Seeing you spreading that pro-l... pfft, anti-life, anti-woman propaganda that the Republicans like so much is why America is and remains fucked up.

Something is wrong when I can tell one's nationality based on the morally bankrupt ideology s|he has. Please, start thinking for a change.

  • @fingrid Wow, such hate for such a simple statement. In case you actually might care, my position is that it is certainly not my place to tell anyone - any woman what she can or can not do with her body. However, I also think it is a shame to end a human life. If you feel that this point of view is "morally bankrupt" that is certainly your business.

  • You forgot to mention remorse and regret...a ton of women who have abortions regret it and get into a deep depression because of it.

  • @AzrealeInsanityxxxD That's actually scientifically unfounded. More people are pushed into depression because of societal pressure than the abortions itself.

  • @sakurabaka Emotions aren't science dumbass.

  • @AzrealeInsanityxxxD Emotions can be measured through scientific evaluation on a small or large scale basis through several different types of methodology. It's called psychology, social-psychology, sociology, neurology... etc.

    ... Dumbass.

  • \everybody can have their opinions but the truth is you really can't say what you would do until you are in the situation yourself. Personally, I don't believe I would be ready to be a parent if this happened to me, I do know I would never be able to give up a baby though, so adoption would always be out of the question. It would be abortion or be a mom, but like i said I don't think I would be ready to be a parent, so abortion would be what I think I would choose.

  • If she had a psychiatrist or psychologist, they would have been able to assess the likelihood of her feeling guilty or emotionally attached to the newborn (but this would have needed to have been a long-term relationship). Her doctor (or clinic) could have assessed if she was physically ready for pregnancy/birth. If she was not ready in either of those cases, she should have aborted. Bullying at school should have also been considered.

I just hope she made the right choice for herself.

  • @StormReplies2, once the baby is born, both parents should take parental responsibility; no one argues that. however, a man never has to be pregnant. whether or not a woman wants to carry a fetus or embryo is her choice, as it's her body. also, consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy. that's like saying consent to doing anything is also consent to any risk that activity presents. if i buy a car and get in a car crash, would you deny me medical help because i knew the risks of driving?

  • @StormReplies2, the thing is, those who choose abortion generally do not want to be a mother at the time. also, a sentient, feeling, born baby is much different than a nonsentient, unfeeling embryo or fetus. the situation that you present is not the same as abortion at all, and even if it was, it's still debatable whether or not the baby comes first. in the end, pregnancy requires constant consent, because nothing and no one has the right to use your body against your will.

  • yes abort

  • I understand the everyone is entitled to their opinion but no one should be able to choose for someone else. It is not your place to tell another man or woman what to do with his/her body, and absolutely cruel to deny him/her a basic right no matter his/her situation. Everyone should be able to control what happens to their own bodies period.

  • @DawnlessSkys True. One thing to add, though.

If pregnancy is the topic, then hopefully the mom will consider what her partner's opinion is. But I am not saying that she should just do what he says. For instance, if her partner said he is not ready to be a father, maybe she should consider not keeping it because stable/healthy parents are also important.

  • @pro4skill Yes, I do agree with you here. I'd just like to reiterate that while the partner's opinion on the matter should be considered and is very important it is ultimately the pregnant person's decision as it is their body that will have to go through with the pregnancy or surgery. (I'd also like to point out that not only women can get pregnant, just a reminder)

  • People should be educated in general and be responsible about their sex lives. Birth control and condoms need to be properly used. Maybe new babies can have fertility chips implanted so that when they are 18 they can go take a parenting class to get it removed and have kids if they so want to.

  • @StormReplies2 Im for adoption as well. I believe abortion should be used in the most dire of situations. If I was being abused and I knew coming home pregnant would get my beat or thrown on the street, I think abortion is the best choice. If I get beat, my baby would be in danger and probably die inside me, putting me in danger. If I was thrown on the street, I would not be able to feed or care for myself properly as a pregnant woman. Aborton should be available for those situations.

  • @StormReplies2 I believe in pro choice, I do have 'buts' about it, yet I still am for pro choice. There are just too many situations where I think a woman should have this option available. But, my main 'but' is no slicing and dicing after a certain trimester.

  • @StormReplies2 But if the mother is sickly and dying because of the baby, chances are she will die before the baby is born and the child will die anyways. Better to abort.

  • Even if they ban abortion, don't people realize that it will NOT stop abortion. Except if you hold the women prisonner and strap her to a bed, you cannot force a grown woman to do something with her body that she does not want. Agreeing to have sex doesn't mean agreeing to being pregnant. The same way agreeing to drive a car does not mean agreeing to get into an accident even though it is a risk. It will just force women to go through illegal abortions (which they are more likely to die from)

  • Im glad i didn`t have to make this dicigion, after I had my first sex, that actually worked for both of us, my boyfriend noticed that the condom broke. I got a pill for afterwords, or whatever it's called in english and didn't get pregnant, that would probably would have been the best option for jessy, but now that it s too late I would go with abortion

  • This actually is the winning option! Some of my faith in the world has been restored :)

  • Abortion should also be available for those whose child has a high risk of dying in the womb and who's birth may kill the mother. But as previously stated, I dont believe in abortion being used as birth control, but still support it for those who need it and have little other choice.

  • We are becoming an overcrowded population, that is not a myth, but neither is that an excuse for abortion. Abortion should be reserved for rape victims, those with abusive parents, and those with unstable lives (drug abusers, and those finiancially unable to support the child etc.).... but Abortion is a serious issue that should not be used as a form of birth control. I support it none the less.

  • Everyone who is pro-abortion was given life at one point. Isn't that rather Ironic?

  • Abortion is so wrong. If you'll kill your unborn baby, you might as well kill your neighbor or your best friend or ANYONE for that matter. It's that persons choice to have sex & their fault for not using a condom correctly. Stop killing the children, they're the future.

  • @ashleymicheleb97

Uhm...no. If you kill your rabidly dividing mass of cells growing in your body you should kill some cancer cells. And it's there choice eh? What if she was raped or her life is in danger or her father raped her and got her pregnant? Or maybe she did use a condom but it broke, or the birth control failed. Consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy. Being forced to carry an unwanted fetus is slavery. You are making someone service another thing by force.

  • @Kitsune1414 Ahh. But cancer isn't a human. Where as that baby could've gone on to find the cure to cancer itself! Everyone dies but not everyone lives. That baby has no say in its choice. It depends on the parents to make the decision of whether that baby lives or not. It doesn't matter what the circumstances are, that baby should be brought into the world. If I was raped, I would NOT have an abortion. That baby has every right in the world to be here. Did YOUR parents abort you? It was her

  • @ashleymicheleb97

Cancer has human DNA like a fetus but it's not a person. The fetus could have grown up to the next Hitler or Manson too. It's my body, consent to sex isn't consent to pregnancy.Yeah,my mother did abort me.I'm the ghost of an aborted fetus. If I was raped,or if I got pregnant from being a whore I'd still get an abortion. For many reasons,I hate babies, we should get rid of as many unwanted ones as possible,I want to adopt a seven+ year old,I would die if I had to carry to term.

  • @Kitsune1414 choice to have sex. No body but her & her boyfriend can control that. I don't know what it would be like to carry around an unwanted fetus because I'm going to have the sex to find out until I'm absolutely ready. I can't control what she does but I can voice my opinion like Laci asked.

  • I'm 21, female, and from Orange County, CA.

If I was in Jessica's situation, I think either abortion or adoption would be best. However, I leaned more toward abortion because of the abusive father. She could be victimized and both her and her baby could be in danger during the pregnancy.

  • abortion is the same as killing a person or someone you love would you kill your kid once its a teenager, no, it dosent matter how old or still if the baby isnt born its still a person its a beating heart its a life that will never be lived! just think what if you mom got an abortion you wouldent be alive today, there are types of abortion where they have the baby but make the baby sick so when she has it then they leave it in a room to die! i lives for about 5 min!

  • @cigmyster3000

search 'why a fetus is not a person' and listen carefully before making such a claim.

  • @cigmyster3000

You're a fucking moron. There has never been that kind of abortion ever in the history of America. I don't know where you're from. Probably some backwards country like...Chewbacastan or something. The only type of abortion that even comes CLOSE to that is partial birth abortion and those have been outlawed since the 90's. Also if my mom had an abortion, I wouldn't be alive to care! She chose to have me because she had a CHOICE to. Do research before spouting your idiotic comments

  • @Quaberr I for one am not ready for a baby, but I am 21 and have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for 3 years and we have grate sex because we waited until we bother were ready emotionally, but to say you should wait until you have a baby is denying someone this close-ness with their parter when they are ready for it.

  • @xXchelsearoxXx then whomever wanted to abort should have had PROTECTED SEX IN THE FIRST PLACE.thats their own fault. bye.

  • @Quaberr Protected sex does not always work 100% of the time.

  • @Pinkevilducky then you should wait till you are ready to have a baby. because thats sex's main purpose. some people take advantage of it. especially in their youth.

  • @xXchelsearoxXx its cutting the stem before it got to bloom. its already there, its still a part of the baby's life. and of any life. wouldn't it "rule" if you were aborted? these are very selfish reasons.

  • why have to murder a baby ignorantly for your mistake of not having protected sex in the first place.

  • @xXchelsearoxXx its murder.

  • I personally think that you should only get an abortion if u have been raped or watever. You should have been way more careful and u cant just take away another persons life. That dosent make you not a mother. It makes you a mother of a baby you murderd.

  • @cookiesandcreamluvme If a condom breaks, it is NOT your fault. If you're on the pill and it doesnt work for some slight chance, it is not your own fault. There was no way you could have been "more careful.". Also, maybe people who use slang (u instead of you, luv instead of love in your username) should not have an opinion on these topics. You obviously are not eduated or experienced in any of this.

  • @abchat1 I understand that but thats still no reason. Plus its my opinion. Second of all. Its a username and it was already to long to begin with. So Your obviously not very educated if you dont realize its a username on youtube. So that comment Trying to "offend me" Did not fucking work so try again!

  • @cookiesandcreamluvme Okay a few things, how is that still no reason? You sound like an idiotic American Christian who says this ridiculous things which can ruin someone's life purely because of that fact that someone told you it is wrong. Complete fuckery. Also,

    you're*

    don't*

    it's*

    trying* no capital honey

Idiotic people on YouTube have no place in this world. You should not have such a harmful opinion on something that is NOT your decision.

  • @abchat1 Its my opinion who are you to tell me what i can or cant think? You just sound like an idiot trying to offend me! I dont think its right to take someone else's life away because you fucked up yours. I dont give a shit what you think about my opinion thank you!

  • not many people dont explain the emotional and mental effects of an abortion. My friends that have had it are still after many years dealing with the

    what if issues

  • @DarthSephiroth144 Don't think it'll do anything, but go ahead if it makes you feel good.

  • @DarthSephiroth144 I'm surprised that you care; thanks. No, you probaly live miles upon miles away.

  • @DarthSephiroth144 I am not demanding that you give up your religious-opinion. Also, I refuse to continue with this petty conversation with someone I don't know while my life is falling apart.

  • @DarthSephiroth144 YOU'RE THE ONE WHO WANTS THEIR VIEWS DICTATED TO OTHERS, NOT ME. I WILL NEVER FORCE YOU TO HAVE AN ABORTION, BUT YOU WOULD FORCE ME NOT TO.

  • @DarthSephiroth144 Your opinions cannot dictate ANYONE's life! Your solution will bring us to the whole 'slave-states' and 'free-states' fiasco.

  • @DarthSephiroth144 I have opinions that you'll disagree with, but I don't try to make them law. I don't believe in interracial-breeding, but if they want to, then there's nothing I can do. Agree with that OPINION?

  • @DarthSephiroth144 As if that matters? Fetus is to human as egg is to chicken.

  • i think abortion is worse than murder. it is taking someones life before they have a chance to live it

  • @bananagram87 Wouldn't just not having sex also be "taking someone's life before they have a chance to live it?" Each time you choose not to have sex with someone of the opposite sex, an egg isn't fertilized by sperm and pregnancy doesn't happen. Each time a woman has her period, it means she didn't fertilize an egg that month and didn't become pregnant. Each time a man masturbates, he's ejaculating sperm that could all potentially have fertilized an egg. What's the difference?

  • i think the death penalty should be legal and i dont agree with abortion but i can accept it.

  • I think guilt is a big con that should have been mentioned. I'm not against abortion, I just feel it is important to note that just because a woman chooses to have an abortion doesn't mean she won't feel guilt which may linger for the rest of her life.

  • @cowgodgames : My point being : it's actually the woman's responsibility to lead a healthy pregnancy until the baby is born. Wether you like it or not. In fact, it has always been : in the days abortion was illegal, even more women still seaked it, at the risk of their lifes. My conclusion is : it's a personal decision society shouldn't interfere with. If you're personaly and morally against it, don't have one. I'll respect your choice.

  • @ cowgodgames : I won't try to convince you, but at least you're aware of it : what it all comes down to, is denying a woman's control over her own body (including her uterus), seeing her as a mold rather than a free individual, all for the foetuses' sake. Imo foetuses are potential persons, I wouldn't have an abortion light-hearted, but in case pregnancy puts one at distress, I'd say respect the actual person over the potential one. If a woman stops eating out of depression, the foetus will die

  • Reminder for everyone : a foetus isn't a person until it is born alive (it can't inherit for instance), and certainly not until the mother feels that she wants to have it, and starts bonding to it. Getting rid of a few cells developping in your body might seem brutal, but it always existed in various forms, and it is certainly more brutal ON THE WOMAN to force her to become a mother against her will. Women are persons with full rights over their own bodies, on which the foetus totally depends.

  • it talks a bout her being villainized.... but not the major mental health impacts...

  • wtf lets abort everyone fucking murders

  • i normally wont say this but this girl is 15 way too young so yes she should abort

  • If you have the balls to have unprotected sex you need the fucking balls to take care of a child

  • one other downfall of abortion is that it can cause problems with your next birth. I know one woman who is in her mid 50s and regrets aborting since she has never been able to have a child, and my aunt, whos first child ended up with severe mental retardation. this would have also been 30 ish years ago for both of them, so surgery could be better, but it is still something that has troubled my thoughts. regardless i do not oppose abortion and if i was in this situation i would take it too.

  • one other downfall of abortion is that it can cause problems with your next birth. • Let's see: Negative stigmatism? It is technically bad, but it's like saying that the consequence of being openly gay is that people will stigmatize you for being gay, so that's subjective. And 0.6 out of 100,000 abortions result in death while 13 out of 100,000 live births result in death. So the surgery aspect actually is a plus rather than a minus.

  • I feel killing another human no matter if it is in this way is wrong. just my opinion

  • If I got a girlfriend pregnant I hope she feels alright with abortion. For all the usual reasons but also consider: Too many fucking babies! If I have the resources to raise a child well I am going to adopt an already existing child. Having your own children before trying to adopt (at this moment there is no try, there is no scarcity of orphans) is like saying that a child that has yet to exist is more important than one that does, and that's fucked (in my opinion).

  • The baby is not the one to blame fir his parents actions. He has the right to live, its not his fault.

  • If I was in that situation I would abort. There are enough unwanted kids in the world already.

  • Contraception along with Abortion is controlling the population.

we're already insanely over-crowded, why introduce unplanned, unwanted babies into the world?

  • @LAURAbrap

We are not overcrowded that is a myth especially considering that people on average are having less kids therefore it is a bigger burden on them in the future, like how young people today have a larger burden on their parents in the baby boomer generation because their are enough of them.

  • @BenjaminWirtz If there was enough food in the world to feed the entire population then we wouldn't be over-crowded, but seeing as there are famine's in the worlds poorest continent, that suggests a different story.. Every 2 seconds there is a birth and every 3 seconds a death.

  • There's nothing wrong with abortion. If someone feels like, at that time in their life, they aren't ready for a baby, then they most likely aren't ready, and that's their own decision. Everyone should stop cramming religion down people's throats. It's their decision and theirs only. It's completely up to THEM, not YOU. And nobody should be judged for what they do. It's nothing even to do with you! Maybe leave an opinion of yours, but don't get into an argument about what is right and what isn't.

  • What ended up happening?

  • i dont mean to judge others personal decisions, but it simply disgusts me how many "likes" there are on this choice. i personally go for adoption, and since i am very talkative when trying to explain things, i will just say that it is because i am adopted. i know im one of the lucky ones, but i have a very promising life ahead. and (i know what youre going to say to this) im just one of those people who dont believe in killing a child before it has even been born

  • @HeartlessSeitar I agree with most things that you say apart from consent to sex not being consent to pregnancy, UNLESS proper measures were taken but she still got pregnant i.e. broken condom.

  • I don't know about you but I love the idea of free or low cost V.D./H.I.V. testing, birth control and birth prevention operations and reproductive cancer treatments sonograms and pregnancy care or ED treatment meds.

Damn that Planed parenthood for actually doing these thing for low income couples!

  • abort the SHIT out of it

  • @bridgetskittles

    I agree!

  • These posts are all about pro choice vs. pro life. How about a third choice adoption? Women may suffer for nine months, but think about all those years the baby could live from the nine months? There are so many people in the world who are incapable of reproducing, so why not help those people have a child. People need to think about all the consequences and repercussions about abortion. You could bring joy to a family. If you arent capable of sustaining a child. Choose adoption not abortion.

  • @ramblingreck13

You seem to forget there are, at any one moment in the US, over 129,000 children waiting to be adopted and only 51,000 are adopted. Most families only want children 0-5 years old. I am 'incapable of reproducing' and that's fine with me. I don't want kids. There is no 'third choice' you either give birth or you get an abortion. I have an idea, let's get rid of all of the kids in foster care and the system now, THEN worry about fetuses. Just a thought.

  • @Kitsune1414 Well said. People moan and bitch that abortion kills children, but they don't even think of the crappy lives the unwanted children have now.

  • i guese people who disagree are against stem cell reasearch too? Its not even a human its like a small lump of dna!?

  • @kazzababe10 Its not about the small lump of dna now. Its what that small lump of dna can become.

  • Abortion is wrong and for those who choose to have sex and get pregnant take responsibility for your actions dont kill of a baby because you were dumb enough to risk it !

abortion it is murder because an embryo is a living thing !

  • @MsAdiaries it's not a baby, it's a fetus. also, consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy, don't act like it is. taking responsibility for their actions could be any of the three videos, all of which involve a certain amount of balls, maturity, and thought. if abortion is murder than miscarriages are manslaughter.

  • @HeartlessSeitar if you read the last sentence i wrote you would see i wrote embryo so watever and in some countries its legall to abort a fully developed baby in the 3rd trimesta ! it happeneds not all abortions are for an when its a fetus and if your going to have sex you should consent to pregnancy why risk it :S cause if they do end up pregnant who pays the price its the fetus that is growing and developing inside the female. a misscarrage is unintentional you fuck!

  • @MsAdiaries of course miscarriage is unintentional. hence why it would be manslaughter- which is also unintentional. I speak about abortion in the US where Laci and i live, and here it is illegal in the 3rd trimester. Consent to sex isn't consent to pregnancy, and shouldn't be. Should i be deprived from the pleasure of sex because i don't want to be a breeding tool? fuck that.

  • @HeartlessSeitar look you know what neither or us is gunna change my mind, its in my catholic beliefs that abortion is wrong lets just agree to disagree cause i cant be bothered anymore !

  • @MsAdiaries change our minds ****

  • @MsAdiaries could you please tell me where in the bible it specifically says abortion is bad? if i'm correct, the punishment for causing a woman to miscarry isn't the same punishment as murder in the bible. and the bible supports the slaying of children in several parts. if anything, Christianity is Pro-Abortion.

  • @HeartlessSeitar your a waste of time i know my own religion i dont need some asshole telling me otherwise stop replying cause i am!

  • @MsAdiaries Heartless asked a legetimate question. Where in the bibles is abortion said to be 'wrong'? No where that I know of. And as H said, this god kills children and the unborn himself, repeatedly, so again, where is the christian bases for that?

  • @humanistheart in the 10 commandments You shall not murder.

Only god should have the right to take life, we are not God therefor we should just leave it to him.

God is perfect we are not.

  • @MsAdiaries The ten commandments? They don't apply to christianity. If they did you'd be following all the laws of the old testament. And again, there are dozens of examples of people god orders to be killed, and only one small passages saying people shouldn't kill.

God is perfect? A moron who thinks a mustard seed is the smallest seed, who committed mass genocide and infanticide is perfect? You set the lowest bar of perfection ever. By your logic, hitler must have been perfect.

  • @humanistheart i feel sorry for you !

btw the mustard seed story isnt ment to be taken litrully its what it represents and honestly if you actualy had faith then id be bothered having this talk with you but since your a complete idiot who knows nothing about the God he obviousely doesnt have faith in but thinks he knows everything. GOOD LUCK IN LIFE im out for good !

  • @MsAdiaries I feel sorry for you, waisting your life with fiction.

He said the mustard seed was the smallest seed on earth. That's wrong. Metaphorical or parable story or not, that's still wrong. Way to side step the issue. But then that's what christians do isn't it?

  • @HeartlessSeitar also this is the first paragraph on catholic.com in the abortion section

"The Catholic Church has always condemned abortion as a grave evil. Christian writers from the first-century author of the Didache to Pope John Paul II in his encyclical Evangelium Vitae ("The Gospel of Life") have maintained that the Bible forbids abortion, just as it forbids murder." but off coarse you know more about my religion than pope john paul II !!

  • @MsAdiaries i couldn't give less of a fuck what your pope or pastor and such says. Christianity is interpreted many different ways and has been altered many different times. I asked where IN THE BIBLE it says that abortion is wrong or that a fetus is a person.

  • Personally, if I ever get pregnant, I'll abort, regardless of my age. I don't want to bring another living being into this world, when there are those without a home.

  • @HARDcoreRAWRZZ Thank you, so many people, especially ones who are big believers in a religion, disregard abortion right away because everyone deserves life. I disagree, some many kids end up homeless, starving, abused. Why would we want to bring possible more children like that. Not everyone should be a parent and not everyone wants to be. I totally think people and their religious views should butt out of others personal choices! That includes our government

  • @HARDcoreRAWRZZ Stupidest thing I've ever heard.

  • @peterk1984 - it could have become the same things as the next child could... It's not predestined to be something. It's upbringing is what shapes our minds and personalities not "destiny"... But if the first illegitimate one gets born into a terrible situation it is highly unlikely (not impossible but HIGHLY unlikely) to become anything worth a shit... And we have too many people on the planet already... Don't need another useless one!!! Don't even need to risk it!!! Thats a fact!!!

  • Although I did vote for abortion, I noticed that all of your challenges were external (pressure to live in secrecy, feeling vilianized) and practical (risk of an operation).

You did not mention the internal challenge of feeling guilty about the decision and constantly asking yourself what the the child could have become if it had been born. I recently watched an interview with a woman who said that those were her main thoughts after the abortion.

  • @PeterK1984 I read a study about how hardly any women suffered depression and/or guilt about the abortion... I can't cite it, but I know what I read

  • @Digitalis17894 I wont argue with you. I just saw one interview and that woman might of course have been the huge exception.

But Laci also mentioned the risks of the operation and I am sure there are also hardly any cases were that simple procedure would have produced any negative side effects.

  • According to her story her parents shouldn't have been allowed to breed in the first place... Okay I'm done.

  • I'd also like to add... Abortion should be mandatory for illegitimate pregnancies... And having a baby should require an inquisition from a third party agency (not controlled by the government)... We have too many people already!!!

  • @JDMtnHayze I agree. We can't let people just breed uncontrollably anymore

  • Don't forget step 4... Realisethe world is over populated and we don't need illegitimate creatures taking up valuable space... Then get birth controll and use it!!! I mean damn people... We're already using up he world at a rediculously rapid rate... But fuck it right we have a RIGHT to fuck up the planet with our irresponsible views on sex and life... Right?... Right... >:0/

  • You're more likely to die from child birth than an abortion.

  • @mslewp Abortion has a near 100% fatality rate if you count fetuses as people.

I don't understand why people are allowed to kill fetuses, but not rapists. Seriously, the Supreme Court ruled that abortion is ok and then later ruled that executing child rapists is illegal.

Since when is being a fetus a bigger crime than raping children?

  • @cowgodgames Alright, let's get this over with.

You're a Christian (or perhaps a Muslim) whose views are identical to your parents. You've been brainwashed into this 'pro-life' nonense!

    Game over.

    1) Rapists are concious, have complex thoughts, and have familial relationships.

    2) Making abortion illegal will just be making a crime out of nothing.

    3) If you support the Death Penalty under any condition, they you aren't pro-life.

Now please stop posting stupid comments, if I may ask of it.

  • @mslewp Actually, I'm atheist, though I realize most atheists don't object to abortion.

    1. Having conciousness and family relationships does not mean I can rape people willy nilly.

    2. Rapists are a threat to public safety. When a dog bites someone, it's killed. Rapists are more dangerous.

    3. There should be a simple rule of thumb determining whether to kill something. Is it dangerous? If so, screw its rights.

Humans are no different from animals, and the same rules should apply.

  • @cowgodgames It's not a matter of crime and punishment, it's a case of being a free legal person, with a will and rights of its own, or a bunch of cells fully dependant on another human being for survival. If you are allowed to cut your hair or even cut your fingers off, you should be free to grow a foetus in your belly or not. When it was illegal, and in places it's still illegal now, women still try to have abortions. It's part of human nature, to think life isn't sacred when it's not desired.

  • @colorsmadeoftears "it's a case of being a free legal person, .., or a bunch of cells". I disagree that there should be a distinction. A legal person is just a larger bunch of cells.

Throughout history, there's been groups of people (e.g. women, black people, jews) who have less rights than others. These days, it's fetuses and homosexuals. This is wrong. No one should ever be second class.

I do not believe that mother's right to not be pregnant should exceed a fetus' right to live.

  • Altho I find the thought of abortion depressing, seriously shes 15,has a crap father, and could possibly ruin a good future for a herself. She could have the abortion get her education and raise children later on with a better future.Of course she could go for adoption but the world is seriously over populated, people probly shouldnt have kids ther going to hand off to someone else. She is only 5 weeks pregnant, the emmbryo hasnt even become a fetus yet.

  • Soooo I barely listened to the story past the abusive father part before jumping over here. 15 is too young to go through any of the stress she's already been through, let alone the stress of a pregnancy. She deserves a second chance. Shes obviously not just a dumb horny girl; just an unfortunate human being who needs to live her own life.

  • @brilliantxxbrunette Um, why yes, we used BOTH birth control AND a condom. The condom broke, and for some reason, the birth control didn't work. We were ALWAYS very careful.

  • You didn't talk about the emotional aspects of abortion. The mother will have to live with the decision she made to end her baby's life. This can be as hard for some some mothers as giving up the baby is for those who choose adoption.

  • I'm pro choice because people should be able to have sex but not be screwed

  • @ericmanemak On the other hand abortion is awfully close in concept to murdering babies.

  • @dshou053 awfully close but isnt ....i stand on my statement

  • @ericmanemak Well genetically it is technically part each parent, so it could be concluded that as long as both parents agree on the abortion it is not a form of murder. The same argument could be used for killing your 10 year old.

  • @dshou053 well a 10 year old is a lil diffrent i dont care ither way though

  • @dshou053 That can be argued either way. if someone does not consider it a baby, then it would be hard to convince them its murdering babies. At 5 weeks, the embryo is about the size of a sesame seed. It isn't exactly the same thing as like smothering a baby, well to me at least. The fact is it is perfectly legal to murder animals, and death penalty is legal in many places...so we kill more developed things that feel pain, on a daily basis. this seed sized cluster of cells does not feel.

  • @Qt4life6179 At 5 weeks a "fetus" already has the beginnings of a brain. By week 8 iot reacts to it's environment, which indicates feeling or at the very least a sense of some sort.By week 14-16 it's brain is already starting to function. Straight from conception it already has it's own genetic code, which makes it quite a bit different than any other mass of cells in your body.

  • @dshou053 I am well aware of the development of a fetus. I am just saying that not everyone thinks that an undeveloped embryo is human. Which can be compared to how you think animals being a different species make a difference while I think it doesn't. And as for the death penalty, they have done something wrong, but some are innocent and falsely put in jail, so killing them risks killing an innocent person. and no...stating a size of a 5 week fetus is not like saying "little people" do not

  • @Qt4life6179 I'm actually against the death penalty because of that and the fact it is actually cheaper to keep them in prison. That being said, no fetuses at all have done anything to deserve dying. And yes determining whether someone is human based on size is exactly like saying midgets aren't people. You did not just say that a fetus is "the size of a sesame seed" but added that because of that it is not the same as smothering a baby.

  • @dshou053 You can say that is the same all you want, doesn't make it so. Either way, I am not for or against abortion. So you can rephrase what I am saying all you want. Ultimately, I will never have an opinion til I am put in that situation. My only point is, what you qualify as good reasons to be against abortion are not the same for everyone. There is no right or wrong answer for EVERYONE, its individual. So let people decide for themselves is all I am saying.

  • @dshou053 have rights because I was referring to it's development, not size. and if you bring in development, an animal is fully developed, can respond to it's environment, can think, and can feel. all that said, i never said your opinion was invalid, my only point is, people may not agree with the claims you make. i think your statements are excellent in pertaining to developing your OWN views on abortion, no less valid than mine based on our own beliefs. it's a personal choice.

  • @Qt4life6179 It has been proven that very early in it's development a fetus reacts to it's environment. Of course it's brain will not function the same as a more developed person's, but babies, after being born, do not think like a developed person for quite some time, so do you support post-birth "abortion"? In fact a 20 year old does not think the same way as a 40 year old, so which is human? "Pro choice" think the same way as religious addicts, few valid facts, just "belief" because you want.

  • @dshou053 And there are few facts on either side, because whether the fetus is "alive" can only be determined by the individual. I made my decision to be neutral based on a lot of research, so belittling me by saying its few valid facts and just belief is condescending. We both know the stages of fetal development, that info just has different impacts on us. And I don't care about "human" vs. not "human" or I wouldn't have brought up animals. I care about ALIVE. and we have different ideas

  • @dshou053 about when that fetus becomes alive. well at 5 weeks it is actually an embryo. To me, an embryo is not alive, nor is it human. In fact, at that stage its nearly indistinguishable from embryos from some other species. it doesn't start to show brain activity til week 5. It's not even a fetus until week 8. these are not reasons for or against abortion. how someone takes these facts and forms an opinion is where reasons start. same facts can cause different opinions.

  • @Qt4life6179 The difference in those 2 things is animals are not part of our own species, and the death penalty is only given to people that have done something wrong.

Also bringing it's size into it is like saying midgets aren't real people.

  • @aab43214 .. actually comparing animals too humans doesn't prove anything . I don't eat pigs . but . hunting for food has been around since the beginning of time. But killing a baby ? That baby life could've been successful . If she didn't want it . Because she was to young . Then give it up for adoption. Plus the abortion can hurt her emotionally and physically . I mean , Would you have wanted your mother to abort you ? * Kanye Shrug * Don't think so .

  • @cebabygirl13 Personally I would not care in the slightest if I was aborted, but that's just me. And i'd say comparing humans to animals is fair. Hunting has been around forever sure...but not the way this country does it. It's sick and shameful the abuse the animals endure. And if you make the history argument...abortions have been around forever too. Adoption may be best for you, and you can say THAT. but you can't say what is best for her, cause we only know so much about her.

  • my personal choice is to get an abortion, i think that my generation is a lot more open to this option and rightfully so. there is a huge difference between starting to have sex and haveing a baby, but regardless,i think that her and kevin should not be denied or feel ashamed if they choose to abort. If i was in there shoes i would choose that option too. I learned this from laci, but for all of you god freaks out there abortion was LEGAL in the catholic church up untill the 1950's i believe?

  • Abortions are terrible! being Catholic we put shamed faces to those who are for it. I think that in her case you shouldn't have had sex if you knew you couldn't take chances. Abortion is not an option Jessie please dont!!!

  • @AshleynlProductions who cares about wheather your catholic or not. religion has no bearing on it what so ever.an opinion should be based on what YOU as an indevidual think . no what your peers. but i do agree, abortion is not an option. a baby is still a baby. which makes it a human being.

  • @AshleynlProductions who cares about wheather your catholic or not. religion has no bearing on it what so ever.an opinion should be based on what YOU as an indevidual think . not what your peers think. but i do agree, abortion is not an option. a baby is still a baby. which makes it a human being.

  • @AshleynlProductions I understand that is your religion, but that may not be hers. And telling her you shame her will not make the decision easier on her. Not all religions believe that it's a life. Jews don't consider it alive til it's born. And who are we to shame a terrified 15 year old who is only trying to do what is best for her and the baby (even if that does mean aborting.) this is the hardest decision she will ever make, so let's try and be supportive of her no matter what.

  • Abortion is wrong , It's killing . Because its technically living ! But just unborn. Abortion is 100% WRONG IT SHOULDNT BE A OPTION

  • @cebabygirl13 Well do you eat pigs? It sure has greater mental capacity and is just as alive if not more so.

  • @Digitalis17894

Wow for a 14 year old, you got a pretty good head on your shoulders. Why don't we continue this conversation off YouTube. Cool? Msg me at vavy_luv@yahoo.com
