@Boeing727223 i7 2600k with the correct cooling would be ok at 4.8ghz, 4.4 or 4.6ghz would be ok but ild stay at 4.4ghz to be safe, plus whilst not gaming the core i5 2500k unclocks itself and idles at 1.6ghz when not in use wich is great for keeping your system safe for a LONG time

GTX580, i7 2600K OC to 4.6-4.8, 12 GB Ram, and SSD for the OS and 7200 RPM for FSX.

Are there something i shall now about the Sandy Bridge og is it totaly easy. It will run on this motherboard: Asrock P67 EXTREME4 S1155 SATA6 USB3 CFX/SLI

Overclocking is easy, the new motherboard you get will have uefi.

Just enter it like you would a bios and up the multiplier to 40x.

That's 4ghz, should be well within limits for the heatsink that comes with it.

Power draw is only about 10w more for 4ghz than stock. No brainer.

Try to get 4.5ghz if you want (45x multiplier)

I have an i7 2600K and overclocked it by only changing the multiplier to 4.5GHZ and changing a couple settings. I didn't even need to touch the Vcore. It did it itself.

@TechNewsWeeklyMMXI I'd go with the H70 or an XSPC Rasa kit rather than the H50 if you want to go water, but I'm not sure about your current cooler. The forum is overclock . net, no spaces of course. I love it, it's one of the most helpful and active computer forums I've ever used :D
