Sad part is, Germany's alliance with the Italians screwed them. Germany had planned the Russian offensive earlier in the year, but due the Italians f*cking up in Greece, the Germans were forced to bail them out, delaying Operation Barbarossa.
Germany would have been better off if the guineas stayed neutral.
Actually, pulverizing Yugoslavia was what delayed Barbarossa by ~5 weeks, but that really is inconsequential to the conflict overall. In my opinion, even if the entire globe had stayed neutral, Russia beats Germany straight up.

We lost 10 m. soldiers and 10 m. peaceful citizens. Germany with their allies lost the same ammount or even more.

So the Soviet propaganda myth, that the Germans did commit these crimes has been corrected by the Russians at last. Noone except the Soviets/Russians ever believed this blatant lie. But obviously there are still some Russians like Idealist2011 who carry on the old Soviet propaganda.

Concerning the Duma's decloration, that was done under Putin's pressing, who wanted to make peace with Poles via doubtful concession.

Google for Babi Yar for example (it's a place near Kiev) in 29 Sep of 1941 more than 100,000 people were forced to dig a huge ditch, then were killed and burried each other layer by layer, people had to undress (women tried to hide their babies in the piles of clothes but it didn't help) some of women were raped before being killed. And that was one episode of this war (27 millions of russian were killed during the wwII, 13 million of soldiers and the rest were civilians)

What a lot of people dont know is what the Russians had to do before leaving there homes. The Russians would have to take every little thing with them, and if they couldn't take it then burn it. Many people lost everything. I dont understand why no one relizes what the russians wen't through was THE worse fighting in all of world war two. Some can say "no those invading the islands in japan had it worse" But they should read up on their history before they say that. They may change their minds.

Sad part is, Germany's alliance with the Italians screwed them. Germany had planned the Russian offensive earlier in the year, but due the Italians f*cking up in Greece, the Germans were forced to bail them out, delaying Operation Barbarossa.
Germany would have been better off if the guineas stayed neutral.

Actually, pulverizing Yugoslavia was what delayed Barbarossa by ~5 weeks, but that really is inconsequential to the conflict overall. In my opinion, even if the entire globe had stayed neutral, Russia beats Germany straight up.

Stalingrad was the mother of all urban wars, both armies were matched evenly despite Air support by German bombers which wiped out the entire city with thousands on metric tons of incendiary and high explosive bombs the Russians defended there country at all costs as they had to much pride to let Germans run that empire of a country.
Stalingrad is what real war is and shows the horror of what man would do to another man at the command of the Generals.
