@macypctutoriales Do you remember Apple before Jobs came back? It was pretty dismal. I think people worry about Apple sliding back to what it was in the nineties without Job's leadership. I personally don't think that will happen, but not everyone feels that way. So, you probably should care (at least a little bit), if plan on continuing to use a Mac or have Apple stock.

The funny thing is because apple and it's userbase wishes to this elitist mentality they will never attract the amount of developers microsoft does, they will never have the selction of hardware, and won't make as much money as possible.
Their is quite a strong hackintosh following. Many people would just rather put together compatible parts and have everything run the same as a mac than buy something double the price.
On my old system os x worked flawlessly. While I didn't enjoy os x many users do and would be willing to pay a bit more for the OS. They aren't however willing to pay 2-3x the cost of crap hardware e.g. foxconn.
Seems people would rather cripple development for their platform, just to feel special.

To be honest Apple's Success has mainly come for the expandability of their Tier Products, before the iPod Apple was dying it was that one breakthrough product that got everyone's interest in other Apple Products. Most of my friends who use macs including myself got into Apple because of their iPods. I know ALOT of people who got into Macs due to Apple's iPod, iTunes, and the iPhones.
If Apple doesn't stick with their passion in designing and making outstanding products like they do now then they will die, if they become cooperate greedy giants then the end of Apple will come.
I mean for the past 10 years we have seen so many good people form Apple like Jonathan Ive, pretty much the guy who makes Apple Products look and feel so good, & Timothy D. i have seen a problem in lack of quality control in software coming out of apple every since iLife 11. the latest one if the bootcamp update. it was for the air only and went out to all the Macs in the 10.6.6 update. it wants you to download the drivers now and not use your osx disk but it fails to download and burn them. and they haven't done anything about it. the firs was imovie. the automatic scrolling wile scrubbing issue. still not fixed. they have lost their attention to detail.

@macypctutoriales Do you remember Apple before Jobs came back? It was pretty dismal. I think people worry about Apple sliding back to what it was in the nineties without Job's leadership. I personally don't think that will happen, but not everyone feels that way. So, you probably should care (at least a little bit), if plan on continuing to use a Mac or have Apple stock.

Their is quite a strong hackintosh following. Many people would just rather put together compatible parts and have everything run the same as a mac than buy something double the price.
On my old system os x worked flawlessly. While I didn't enjoy os x many users do and would be willing to pay a bit more for the OS. They aren't however willing to pay 2-3x the cost of crap hardware e.g. foxconn.
Seems people would rather cripple development for their platform, just to feel special.

To be honest Apple's Success has mainly come for the expandability of their Tier Products, before the iPod Apple was dying it was that one breakthrough product that got everyone's interest in other Apple Products. Most of my friends who use macs including myself got into Apple because of their iPods. I know ALOT of people who got into Macs due to Apple's iPod, iTunes, and the iPhones.

@AppleSoldier I think all cell carriers suck, they wanna nickle and dime u for everything. carriers is someting we have to deal with wehter we like it or not. i can live with at&t because i dont have a huge problem with them. and as far as 4g goes we dont know the pricing, and we dont know how long it will take to be widely available. verizon says soon but until it becomes more widely available me personally i can care less.

@lilxrich123 you do know that Verizon lost their entire network last week here in Virginia. I think that there will be those that jump to the network but not like you think. Verizon users will pay more to have the Iphone on their network than those on ATT. The wireless hotspot is one cost that they will pay more for, you do know that it cost $20 to start with and for each GB you go over the cost will be $20 - how yoou like those Apples - Verizon lover.

i have seen a problem in lack of quality control in software coming out of apple every since iLife 11. the latest one if the bootcamp update. it was for the air only and went out to all the Macs in the 10.6.6 update. it wants you to download the drivers now and not use your osx disk but it fails to download and burn them. and they haven't done anything about it. the firs was imovie. the automatic scrolling wile scrubbing issue. still not fixed. they have lost their attention to detail.
