You should check your facts; authentic masters like Zhao Dao Xing, Wang Xiang Zhai and Yao Xong Zun totally called this kind of thing fake - and they knew many of the famous authentic masters - and indeed were authentic famous masters themselves.

You're kidding, right? Almost everything Wang Xiang Zhai Said was that this kind of thing was fake. You can read all about it in the free e-books given away by the Yiquan Academy. Kong jing - you mean empty force? So fake it hardly deserves response, except to say, if you want to believe, then it will affect you, but no one can demonstrate it on a resisting opponent. Many people trained with WXZ, some, inevitably, will turn out to be frauds, as with all teachers who have many students.
There is an interview with Zhao Dao Xin on the Yiquan Academy website, which casts light on many of these issues. In fact, no one in taiji can actually do this kind of thing - no one at all. What they rely on is calling you an idiot if you doubt, or that you'll look like a thug if you go and test them. Personally, I'm beginning to think that yes, I do want to test them, seeing as how they say so many times "go and see for yourself." Still, What Zhao Dao Xin saw should already end all of this.

I dunno, promotion for his school/style. Well you have to understand that this is difficult for me to understand. Have you tried it, does it really work? Does Sheng ever prove it to sb else than his students? What's up with that funny foot movement of one of his ss (which makes it look very fake and ridiculous). Sorry I'm skeptical about it, but there many Ki and Kiai masters that have been proved to be fake, why should I think Sheng is any different from them?
I experienced it myself with another taiji master, grandmaster Wang Jie (Wang Chieh). His son is on YouTube as well under the name of "huaihsiang". There are few videos with him and Wang Jie there.
After I met them, I had no doubts anymore. I left my job, spent 1 year in Qi-Gong practice and now can do some of it myself.
It is your choice what and who to look at and who to believe. You can make Rembo your idol and meditate on him. At the end it depends on what you really want in your life.

Please don't think that focussing on the martial aspect of Quan is thuggish. In my view it is the ability to authentically be able to fight which makes the wushu principles of self restraint, discipline, honesty, integrity have their meaming in the martial context. Wu de must also mean honesty - can it really be true that an old man can do this? My mind is open, but more convincing demonstrations are needed. Please, if you can do it, show it against an unbelieving, resisting opponent.
Hey, I would love to do something like this but you are probably way too high in evaluation of my abilities :) It's been only a year since I have been doing this. Besides I focus mainly on healing rather than fighting aspect now. Half a year ago I pushed one of the friends while doing a short hand move (following the Qi). The guy (20cm taller and bigger than me) landed on the concrete driveway and was hurt. Since then I did not play with it. But I'll try again in a safer place and let you know.
taiji is based on the taiji principles- these do not only apply to taiji but are more like the physics of the living world. newton found the physics for the dead(mass+weight etc) but chinese unraveled many mysteries of life. 'use 4 oz to overcome a thousand pounds', be like a mountain but move like a river, be iron wrapped in cloth. these r some of the ideas that drive the art of taiji, if u can even comprehend this, there need be no mor explanation
Please do not be too quick with your judgement about what real Quan is, especially if you want to find a truth. In my opinion Kung-Fu is not about kicking ass or winning and losing.
How it is done.. First Huang grounds himself. Then takes the energy of the opponent and drives it into the Earth through his channels. Then he waits until the Earth returns the energy (the Earth returns all similar Qi, not only that transmitted from this partner). Huang takes it and redirects some of it back at him.
The only problem with this is what we call "incestuous proof" - where the proof is always incestuous, i.e., done on people who really want to believe, or are own students, low level, etc., there will always be doubts. Always. And it's not wrong to doubt - it's natural to ponder, consider the evidence and likelihood properly. I know true Quan is not only realistic fighting - I know this - but it must at least be that, plus other great benefits. For me, Quan is prfound, without any tricks.

Do you have root+balance or not? if u r truly balanced then such things become self-explantory. the master here is showin an example of issuin+redirecting power. explainin all the intricacies to one who doesnt even hav a stable posture is useless+meaningless. unlike external art, this stuff cant be exactly 'mechanized' like western science is so obsesed about.
Glad to see your quest isn't restricted to MAP FQ but you're so wrong about Master Huang. And surely Master's from other family styles calling this kind of thing fake doesn't make it so. If I was in their situation I wouldn't be telling my students that this was real but I couldn't do it.

There is no argument about if it is real - only about why people choose to believe it. Answer - magic power is easier than actual, hard training. The forthright attitude of the Yaos is noble.
By the way I bumped into a person who knew Huang Sheng Shyan. He said Huang spent 21 year of 8-hour a day training to achieve this power. 7 years he studied forms from Chen Man Qing. 7 years he worked on rooting. 7 years on the control.
No magic power here and believe me, training this system is plenty hard. You won't be huffing and puffing but you will certainly know that you've had a workout!!
At the end of the day, you are free to believe that it is true, which is at least one nice thing in the world. Good luck finding skill level like this, if that's what you're aiming for.
Having had the opportunity to experience direct contact with Grand Master Huang 20 years ago, I haven't seen anyone who can measure up to his standard since then. He is a legend.
