I am Polly, the one who was saved by my son, Curt Fulks. I am very proud of my children. Curt is now 26 and Cristin is now 23. Wow how time flies. Ricky and I are no longer married. Glad to see this on you tube.
@Paulette304 Aww it's nice to see people from the actual clip on here. I was just saying while i was watching another Rescue 911 episode that i'm surprised none of the families from these episodes leave messages! Your little boy is a hero! (Well big boy now.)
@arnicaherb No believe it or not most gases that poison you don't have any scent. This is why they call Carbon Monoxide the silent killer, because you can't smell it so unless you have a detector you won't know if it's in your house.
Should have taken the knobs off the first time when she turned on the burner. She could have caught the house on fire. Thank goodness the knobs for our stove is on top of the stove and my nephew can't reach them.
he is saying the more gas flowing into ur house without windows and doors open it will get thicker then it gets into an electrical corde and then boom?!dang well my negibors had a gas leak in their back yard thanks to some guys putting up a fence even with it lined they still did it but everything was okay after that
I have to constantly check behind my mother because she sometimes doesnt turn the gas all the way off on the stove..this is a very important episode to learn from..
@sianyroxyajox1 Dude quit bloody complaining. We all the know the quality is not good OBVIOUSLY this way back in the 90's. No HD & stuff. The least you people can do is appreciate that BeatleMoe put up the vid for us to watch. Ungrateful people like you cause BeatleMoe & other persons not to put up any more vids. Why the hell don't you take the time to find all Rescue 911 episodes & digitally re-master it in HD & surround sound for us? Then at least I could say you've done something great. >.>
Something like this happened to me. Both my parents and I sleep with our bedroom doors shut and, weather permitting, the window open. One night I woke up to go to the bathroom, but as I opened my door I smelled gas. The only source of gas is our stove. I checked it and sure enough one of the burners was on just a little and leaking gas. I didn't panic, I just turned it off, opened the windows, and went back to sleep.
@Ree4Quee We are trained not to run for safety purposes. We are no good to you if we get hurt. It is actually not usually the case that you get there just in the nick of time. And I would know that because I am in EMS.
I never had an electric stove until I was 17. Before that I wasnt allowed to cook when no one was home for this very reason. You can turn on the burner & the eye doesnt catch & you have a gas leak.
I'm glad newer homes are going electric & older stoves are being replaced. The ONE good thing about a gas stove was when the power went out, we could light it to cook & get some heat but safety is more important.
thank god the firefighters arrived so quick! when my mom fell and broke her foot, the ambulance took 20 minutes to arrive! then the paramedics began WALKING to my mom, as if they were walking to their death, where as here the firefighters came running into the house to save this woman!
i have only one criticism for this series in general...whenever they reenact the EMTs working on a scene they always have them running...even though for most situations, they are trained not to run.
Dear Beatlemoe, here are the following episodes I'd like you or allgood to upload- Pinellas EMS Docu (episode 505), 911 Peanut Heimlich (episode 506), 911 Business Suit Intruder (episode 504), Bridal Veil Falls Rescue (episode 608), Austin Cop Collision (episode 523), 911 My Baby Drowned and Collapsed School Bus, (episode 323) 911 Suicide Son Save (episode 515), and Footfault Avalanche (episode 610).
Yes, those stoves are dangerous. Just this past Thanksgiving, my cousins mother in law left a gas stove knob on. I smelled something as did her son then it hit me; THE GAS! I shut it off and her son lectured her about making sure the gas stove knobs are off when not using it.
that's precisely y people should switch to induction cooking alot safer best is u can't burn your hand because the current only heats up metal by exciting its electrons
People should not be given awards for things they are expected to do. Maybe if the boy climed a water wower to save someone, or another incredible feat of bravery, but for calling 911? Bullshit.
on the surface the parasite expects the farmer to feed them out of charity the doctor to heal them for free but they differ no more then the pervert who sprawls the streets at night looking to satisfy his grotesque obsessions
This was in the 90's? it seemed extreamely easy to call 911. Isn't it a great world when you can't call 911 in an emergency? I was on "musical hold" on 911 when I had to call because someone fell and broke their knee in a furnature store, and I could'nt get through to 911. So eventually I called the operator and told them to send an ambulance.
@UninflatedDevil462 once i saw a motorcycle accident on my way to school and we tried calling 911 but we couldnt get thim which my whole family found messed it was really messed up
@UninflatedDevil462 a broken knee is not an emergency. I'm not condemning you - I've called an ambulance in what I later realised wasn't an emergency. But an emergency is a life or death situation. In the type you described: call a doctor or get a taxi
@TheRushingWind What? A BROKEN knee ISNT a emergency? Wow a sprained knee yeah but a broken knee? I'm sure people aren't going to sit around calling a doctor in pain when they can get to the hospital faster calling 911. Don't give advice when you don't no what you're talking about. If i broke my knee i'd definitly call 911.
@UtubeDuDeDuh no it isn't.Ask your local emergency services. An emergency, as defined by them, is a "life threatening situation" or a "crime in progress".
