@IOMERDOSOIO If it is for Ambience or main stereo microphone I would preffer Large Diaphram, Otherwise single instrument and spots are all small diaphram ok.

@IOMERDOSOIO If I had a chance to have more omni.
I would put as many as omni microphone as possible on the
classical insturments. Omni microphone are more flat and transparent than cardioid and very important NO proximity effect... never.
I can't use that much omnis cuz I couldn't afford it so far.
What I wanna have it is..
3 Nuemann M150 large diaphram omni's for the Decca Tree

Neumann, Schoeps and KM are cardioid or omini ?

bunch of Shoeps and Neuman KM184 cardioids for the spot micing.
I have use millenia media HV-3D 8ch.
