It's not because she sees him as a threat, because if that were the case she would have puffed out her throat, flattened her body into a circular sort of shape and then she would have started to hiss. My beardie does the same thing when I hold my uromastyx lizard. I think that if your beardie is very attatched to you

When they are younger yes but after they hit puberty (at least the male) he will constantly try to mate with her. She will be prego and stressed all the time. So to answer you question yes when very young. NO when the male hits puberty.

If they are from the same litter, it should be easier to keep them together, however, you will have to worry about mating season.
