You seem like you'd be a good person to ask this question. I bought a can of RED gas instead of GREEN w/o really knowing the difference. can my HFC M11A1 handle Red gas?
@kingd3001 Well, I don't think that it is KWa, the lower inners are silver, not black. I would imagine it is not KSC because they are made by KWA and I do think it is HFC, pay attention to the trades on the outside!
I have this gun and it worked fine then all the sudden the bolt got real hard to cock and now it wont shoot more than a bb at a time. Do I just need to oil it, or is something broke???
@NoiDontWantFries its quite simple you get a green/red gass bottle or a propane with apropriet adaptor and you fill the bottom of the mag where theres a valve , just load untill it stops feeding of seeps out man and can/ hisses in some guns you can fire 2-2 1/2 mags before having to load gass
One problem though. Whenever I get the gun fully assembled, I can't pull the bolt back. It just stays at the front and won't budge if you try to pull it back. Any comment?
When you take it apart, pull the trigger, and see if something is moving, or trying to move, thats your "bolt catch" as I call it, the trigger basically moves a piece of metal, that releaces the bolt. If it's not that, I'd take it compleatly apart again, clean everything, lube it, and carefully put it back together.
Ok, try looking at the bolt itself. Take it apart, and make sure everything is moving, mainly the spring and guide, if they don't move correctly, it won't work. If that doesn't help, I don't really know what to try next, you could always send it somewhere to get repaired.
A couple of pliers would work. If you can't get that to work, you might be able to buy a new spring guide at some online airsoft store, or you could try ebay.
thank u very much for a video like this. this is exactly what a noob like me was looking for! Now when i get a m11A1 I will know how to keep it lubed and maintained! Btw, if i use green gas, how often do i need to take it apart and lube it, vs. using propane? thank you
It just takes brute force. The pin's "head" is a half circle, try pushing the half circle towards the empty space and very forcefully downward. There is a "lip" on the pin that makes it tough to push out. Make sure to use a dull object, as something sharp or with edges will damage the head of the pin.
I recently got an HFC Mac 11 and had followed your video to disassemble it (the previous owner didn't do any maintenance at all) but ran into a problem with the inner and outer barrel. They're stuck together! I cannot for the life of me pull them apart. I tried silicon lubricant on every area that they touch, but nothing budged (aside from being able to twist it). I have thought about boiling the tip and trying to pull it off then.. Do you think that's work?
Ahk! Sorry, but I think I may have mixed up the parts. I'm talking about in your video at 2:15 when you pulled the flash hider apart from the barrel. Mine is stuck on there!
Also, I have been having the problem recently of when I have an empty magazine in the gun and I try to pull the bolt back then pull the trigger for it to go back into it's forward position the bolt gets stuck on the magazine about halfway to the forward position. Is it supposed to do that because the magazine is empty?
Weird, the outer barrel should come right off after you remove the retaining pin that holds the outer barrel into the body of the gun, i don't know why it is stuck. I've taken apart several M11's and never had that problem. As far as the magazine, yes when its empty is only goes halfway, that's how you know its done :)
Hmm.. Well I'll try to put it in some boiling water later and see if it helps at all. And for the magazine thing, thanks! Good to know it isn't broken.
i think it is probably the magazine, but whenever i shoot 1 bb, all the other bbs fly out the side... :(
it is also very hard to load as it seems the bbs are not held down by anything; when i put them into the magazine, they fly right out the top of the magazine, instead of being caught and loaded...
can anyone help?
or tell me where i could buy the replacement part for my magazine?
The bb's shoot out because the lip area of the mag where the bb's come out is slightly bent or damaged in some way. This can happen from dropping the magazine or banging it. It may look normal, but the metal is not holding the bb's in when they shake from the recoil of the gas gun. You need a new magazine :(
got same exact gun only problem is that the inner rubber valve came out so it wont seal gas- in order for the bullets to properly shoot through, wher can i get that valve. (valve looks like a donut)
i have a problem with my mac11 airgun which i bought recently, the gun sometimes fires about 10 pellets, sometimes not but the bolt gets jammed just before closing and expelles all the gas, the gun is just a week out of the box and im pretty pissed off about it. can you tell me what the problem might be? i would really appreciate it
That is usually from not oiling the gun with silicon oil. It can also be from using the wrong weight bb's and the wrong brand. KSC .20 are best for this gun, most others cause jams. And use silicon oil before each use.
umm.. well for THIS particular gun, its not a HUGE difference at all. but it does help a little. i notice it however, but my friends dont whenever they use my gun. also if you do, you're gunna need to clean the barrel much more often. so only get a barrel if you are really really going to take care of your gun.
Should i get the co2 Mac 11 or the gass Mac 11? I mean co2 is expensive and how many shots could you get out of a 12g can? the co2 mac 11 has higher fps by 50 but buying co2 will probaly be a hassle. which do you think i should get and which would be the cheapest and where i should by?
This version of the M11 only takes Green Gas. I've never seen this model with C02 before. C02 guns are always more powerful. I would go with the green gas version either way.
Yes it matters. You must cock the gun FIRST. With the magazine out of the gun, look up the handle of the gun with the gun "uncocked" and you will see a metal tube, if you put the mag in like this, the mag will hit that metal piece and break it in half after a few times. Always cock the gun first, then put the mag in. :)
dude, i just wanna ask if WD-40 will work instead of that silicone lube stuff you used in the vid? cause i don't know where to find silicone lube anywhere.
No, definately dont use WD-40. It can melt the plastic parts inside the gun over time. You'll have to order some silicon lube online and have it delivered. Cans are about $5.
You shouldnt need to clean the barrel, but if for some reason the barrell gets dirty, i would put a bit of silicon lube on a "long" Q-tip, and scrub out the barrel, afterwords using a dry Q-Tip and cleaning out any excess silicon or buildup. You want the barrel to be completely free from any buildup.
Also, to get a good feed of not only gas but also BB's (after i did this my gas "mileage" went way up)-clean out the barrel of your gun with a Q-tip, then with a wet one and get ALL the dirt and grease/silicon/etc out, then give it a good spray of silicon oil and stand the barrel on end with a paper towel underneath, then take another few Q-tips and clean out your gass nozzle, since this is giving out the gas, it gets a good amount of buildup and a good clean is all it needs, will put up vid
yea you said it, but i should have restrained myself for using it coz i oiled every single moving parts like the trigger joint, the fire switch selector, etc.
my M11 is now oily but yea im glad its working properly now
Yes. you have to oil it often, even if you dont use it, becuase the oil/lube dries up after a week or less, depending on how much you use. If you are getting jams, oil it. If you are still getting jams after a good oil, then the problem is something else.
Yes. Also keep in mind the weather cause if its cold it will not work right and will jam. Also check your "hop up" and make sure it is not too high or too low, which can cause jams. When you adjust the hopup, you are making the rubber piece that feeds the BB into the barrel smaller or larger. so make sure its not too tight.
yeah, there are 3 things you need for gas guns to work properly: Gas, BB's & Lube. Its only gas blowback guns that will give you problems. They need constant loving care :)
Oil will make your gun run like new. Make sure to ONLY use silicon lube, and not WD-40, or other lubricants, you will ruin your gun.
I think its all OK to use, you just dont want to use silicon oil that is too "thick" or "high viscocity" because thicker oils can make it hard for the parts to move fast. The thinner the oil, the quicker is wears out, and the more frequent you'll have to oil it. I use HFC silicon oil that comes in a spray can, and I use G&P Cylinder grease for some of the internal parts. Both are silicon oil, just different "thickness"
Mine jams only when I dont oil the gun and when the weather is cold. That is because of the gas pressure in the magazine. When its cold, the magazine is not able to build up enough pressure to properly feed the bb's through the rubber "grommit" leading to the barrel, and the bb's get stuck.
ok thanks it looks real simple, although i never did maintennace before on any gun because i only had spring guns, but i ordered my mac 11 last week :D
hey uzi, my mac 11 shoots about 25-30 ft accurately and dips down, can u make a video showing how to use hop up tool because i was expecting to atleast get a range of 80-100
KWA is the best because it has a "metal" bolt. The HFC/Team SD version looks the best because of its trademarks. But at the end of the day, they are all made EXACTLY the same except for the hopup adjustment.
Mind you UziBruisy, I will say one thing, I bought a KWA M11 years ago which DIDN'T have an alloy bolt but DID have full trademarks. It had "KSC Corporation" moulded into the bottom of the pistol grip & had the KSC logo on the guns manual. So there you go...weird. I too upgraded my M11 -- I got a full metal upper and lower and popped in an alloy bolt. I also own a full metal HFC T77 with an alloy bolt incase you are interested. Lovely guns aren't they? I've never heard of 'Team SD' though...
Interesting about the KWA/KSC. I'm willing to bet someone switched them out before they sent to you. I know a mailorder airsoft shop in Los Angeles that was doing that, I wont mention names though :) i ordered a KWA from them, and got the Team SD version, so it goes to show :) I know all "new" KWA's have a magnesium bolt by default. Yeah I plan on getting a T-77 eventually as well. Team SD is the same as the HFC version, although better construction and no "assault eagle" stamp on the side :)
Well the box had the KWA logo on it & it was cellophane sealed 2 so...I was hoping when I bought it it would have an alloy bolt but unfortunately I must have got one of the earlier models. But yeah, the T77 is very good but you'll need to put a KSC/KWA alloy bolt in it because, 4 some stupid reason, HFC made everything (that should be) metal APART from the most important bit -- the bolt. 2 other things u might want 2 do are replace the cocking knob & reverse the stock.
I replaced the HFC with a KSC/KWA cocking knob as the HFC 1 isn't 2 clever.
It has no 'steps' to it so you can actually push the bolt up and down with the cocking knob like a button (which isn't a good idea when the thing fires around 1200 RPM and should be as stable as possible) whereas the KSC/KWA version is 'stepped' which means there's none of this vertical movement because it comes into contact with slot sides on the body.
The other thing you might want 2 do is reverse the stock as, as far as I'm concerned, they put it in the wrong way round. Really you want the longer length of the stock towards you and the shorter length coming out of the gun when shouldered. Also doing this covers the ejection port less when the stock is folded making it look more realistic. Just thought I'd share this with you and anyone watching as I have made no videos yet and thought you should know before you buy one.
The Team SD version does have a good cocking knob on it ;)And it actually turns 90 degrees so you can "lock" it.They got that right at least. The stock seemed fine too on the Team SD verison. It has really nice cobray logo on it, but I replaced the stock and body with the G&P Steel kit instead.Team SD also lined the body with metal inside, so its more stable if you were to put a magnesium bolt in it. I've seen that the old body would actually break, causing the bolt/spring to fly out the back! :)
No no no no, I was talking about the T-77=) - My M11 is fine; it's the T-77 you'll want to modify. Although it's basically the same gun internally there are a few minor differences in the parts. What I did to the T-77 I only did because A) I didn't want to needlessly damage the bolt or body and B) the stock didn't feel or look right.
No problem, I just thought you should know. If you were just an average airsoft M11 owner I might not have mentioned it but you are obviously a genuine airsoft M11 enthusiast that takes his guns seriously -- It's my obligation to inform you about the T-77 issues. Cheers! c[_]
if you mean the "airsoft" versions, all of them are plastic (ABS). You can buy a steel kit for the Mac-11 airsoft for about $200. The Tokyo Marui Mac-10 is ABS plastic, and does not have steel parts. I hope that answers your question.
Also the Mac-11 is "gas" powered, the Mac-10 is an AEG or electric version.
The Mac-10 was made first, and is a larger gun in general. The Mac-10 has a "taller" upper receiver and is wider. The Mac-11 is an improvement (IMO) over the Mac-10, is more "pistol like" and compact.
If you mean the brass colored "inner" barrel, i've not done that yet. I've ordered a new inner barrel and will have to figure it out very soon, so i'll post a video of that when i get there :)
You seem like you'd be a good person to ask this question. I bought a can of RED gas instead of GREEN w/o really knowing the difference. can my HFC M11A1 handle Red gas?

just got my silicon oil and followed this tuts, thanks to you my M11 is working like brand new
giansantiago 3 years ago
:) Awesome, glad to hear. Its amazing what a little oil can do eh?
UziBruisy 3 years ago
yea you said it, but i should have restrained myself for using it coz i oiled every single moving parts like the trigger joint, the fire switch selector, etc.
my M11 is now oily but yea im glad its working properly now
giansantiago 3 years ago
Yeah, its a bit messy, just use a paper towel and wipe off the extra lube. It will leak out over time, just like the real thing :)
UziBruisy 3 years ago
cool, i didnt knew that.
giansantiago 3 years ago
so your M11 gets jammed when not maintained????
giansantiago 3 years ago
Yes. you have to oil it often, even if you dont use it, becuase the oil/lube dries up after a week or less, depending on how much you use. If you are getting jams, oil it. If you are still getting jams after a good oil, then the problem is something else.
UziBruisy 3 years ago
damn... so after oiling your M11 it worked perfectly fine then??
giansantiago 3 years ago
UziBruisy 3 years ago
Jesus Christ.... i didnt knew airsoft was this complicated... well atleast for my M11 lol
giansantiago 3 years ago
yeah, there are 3 things you need for gas guns to work properly: Gas, BB's & Lube. Its only gas blowback guns that will give you problems. They need constant loving care :)
Oil will make your gun run like new. Make sure to ONLY use silicon lube, and not WD-40, or other lubricants, you will ruin your gun.
UziBruisy 3 years ago
thanks!! i was already holding it whew!! hopefully the silicon oil will arrive tommorow.
giansantiago 3 years ago
very helpful! thanks

is there a certain type of silicon lube not to use...?
directorbeau 3 years ago
I think its all OK to use, you just dont want to use silicon oil that is too "thick" or "high viscocity" because thicker oils can make it hard for the parts to move fast. The thinner the oil, the quicker is wears out, and the more frequent you'll have to oil it. I use HFC silicon oil that comes in a spray can, and I use G&P Cylinder grease for some of the internal parts. Both are silicon oil, just different "thickness"
UziBruisy 3 years ago
and ur gun does not have jamming problems?
directorbeau 3 years ago
Mine jams only when I dont oil the gun and when the weather is cold. That is because of the gas pressure in the magazine. When its cold, the magazine is not able to build up enough pressure to properly feed the bb's through the rubber "grommit" leading to the barrel, and the bb's get stuck.
UziBruisy 3 years ago
ok thanks it looks real simple, although i never did maintennace before on any gun because i only had spring guns, but i ordered my mac 11 last week :D
directorbeau 3 years ago
do u need to grease the internal parts??? oh ya btw i got my kwa mac 11 today!!!
directorbeau 3 years ago
Congrats, you'll have fun with it i'm sure :) Yes you need to oil the internal parts often. I suggest getting a can or 2 of silicon spray.
UziBruisy 3 years ago
hey uzi, my mac 11 shoots about 25-30 ft accurately and dips down, can u make a video showing how to use hop up tool because i was expecting to atleast get a range of 80-100
directorbeau 3 years ago
I'd like to but i'm in New York City, and its really hard to find a spot to film with light that is about 200 feet long :)
UziBruisy 3 years ago
alright thank you so much i ordered the kwa mac 11 and plan to maintain it !
directorbeau 3 years ago
i had a question for you... which company makes the best mac 11? i was thinking of getting a hfc.
directorbeau 3 years ago
KWA is the best because it has a "metal" bolt. The HFC/Team SD version looks the best because of its trademarks. But at the end of the day, they are all made EXACTLY the same except for the hopup adjustment.
UziBruisy 3 years ago
Mind you UziBruisy, I will say one thing, I bought a KWA M11 years ago which DIDN'T have an alloy bolt but DID have full trademarks. It had "KSC Corporation" moulded into the bottom of the pistol grip & had the KSC logo on the guns manual. So there you go...weird. I too upgraded my M11 -- I got a full metal upper and lower and popped in an alloy bolt. I also own a full metal HFC T77 with an alloy bolt incase you are interested. Lovely guns aren't they? I've never heard of 'Team SD' though...
Z2020fish 3 years ago
Interesting about the KWA/KSC. I'm willing to bet someone switched them out before they sent to you. I know a mailorder airsoft shop in Los Angeles that was doing that, I wont mention names though :) i ordered a KWA from them, and got the Team SD version, so it goes to show :) I know all "new" KWA's have a magnesium bolt by default. Yeah I plan on getting a T-77 eventually as well. Team SD is the same as the HFC version, although better construction and no "assault eagle" stamp on the side :)
UziBruisy 3 years ago
Well the box had the KWA logo on it & it was cellophane sealed 2 so...I was hoping when I bought it it would have an alloy bolt but unfortunately I must have got one of the earlier models. But yeah, the T77 is very good but you'll need to put a KSC/KWA alloy bolt in it because, 4 some stupid reason, HFC made everything (that should be) metal APART from the most important bit -- the bolt. 2 other things u might want 2 do are replace the cocking knob & reverse the stock.
Z2020fish 3 years ago
I replaced the HFC with a KSC/KWA cocking knob as the HFC 1 isn't 2 clever.
It has no 'steps' to it so you can actually push the bolt up and down with the cocking knob like a button (which isn't a good idea when the thing fires around 1200 RPM and should be as stable as possible) whereas the KSC/KWA version is 'stepped' which means there's none of this vertical movement because it comes into contact with slot sides on the body.
Z2020fish 3 years ago
The other thing you might want 2 do is reverse the stock as, as far as I'm concerned, they put it in the wrong way round. Really you want the longer length of the stock towards you and the shorter length coming out of the gun when shouldered. Also doing this covers the ejection port less when the stock is folded making it look more realistic. Just thought I'd share this with you and anyone watching as I have made no videos yet and thought you should know before you buy one.
Z2020fish 3 years ago
The Team SD version does have a good cocking knob on it ;)And it actually turns 90 degrees so you can "lock" it.They got that right at least. The stock seemed fine too on the Team SD verison. It has really nice cobray logo on it, but I replaced the stock and body with the G&P Steel kit instead.Team SD also lined the body with metal inside, so its more stable if you were to put a magnesium bolt in it. I've seen that the old body would actually break, causing the bolt/spring to fly out the back! :)
UziBruisy 3 years ago
No no no no, I was talking about the T-77=) - My M11 is fine; it's the T-77 you'll want to modify. Although it's basically the same gun internally there are a few minor differences in the parts. What I did to the T-77 I only did because A) I didn't want to needlessly damage the bolt or body and B) the stock didn't feel or look right.
Z2020fish 3 years ago
Ahh, cool, got those 2 confused :) Thanks for the info on the T-77. I'll do the same to it if I get one.
UziBruisy 3 years ago
No problem, I just thought you should know. If you were just an average airsoft M11 owner I might not have mentioned it but you are obviously a genuine airsoft M11 enthusiast that takes his guns seriously -- It's my obligation to inform you about the T-77 issues. Cheers! c[_]

ok mann thanks but my uder qwestion is:tha m10 and the m11 whits is a steel one
ps srry fore my bad enggles:P
sawyer700 3 years ago
if you mean the "airsoft" versions, all of them are plastic (ABS).
UziBruisy 3 years ago
They both are ABS plastic. only the M11 has a steel kit made by G&P which is $200 US.
UziBruisy 3 years ago
whats is the difference between the mac 11 and the mac 10??
sawyer700 3 years ago
The Mac-10 was made first, and is a larger gun in general. The Mac-10 has a "taller" upper receiver and is wider. The Mac-11 is an improvement (IMO) over the Mac-10, is more "pistol like" and compact.
UziBruisy 3 years ago
thanks dud this will come in handy when i get my MAC 11

helped a bunch on the top half of the gun, thanks!

yeah.. id like info on doing a barrel swap that would be sweet.
loosnmined 3 years ago
how do u change the barrel out?
loosnmined 3 years ago
If you mean the brass colored "inner" barrel, i've not done that yet. I've ordered a new inner barrel and will have to figure it out very soon, so i'll post a video of that when i get there :)
UziBruisy 3 years ago
wats the difference between a MAC11 an d a M11???

Yes, all models are exactly the same, except for the hopup mechanism.
