Dismantle NATO? Irresponsible statement. Russia is dreaming of old empire, Russia's Imperialistic tenancies are alive and well. South Ossetia has about 15,000 Ossetians living there, now that 30,000 Georgians were ethnically cleansed from the region at the hands of the Russians, villages burned to the ground. Russia now Isolates these regions, no International presence on the ground at all. Starts building military bases in Ossetia, and Abhazia. People living there are denied basic human right.

@dimdaman What about US "imperialistic tenancies"? The US overthrew a legitimate government in Georgia in 2003 (google "BTC pipeline"), thus stirring up tensions in the region, which led to war. Not to mention attempting to install a so-called "missile defense" system in Poland and the Czech Republic, which Russia rightly viewed as being offensive in nature...while the US was already embroiled in an illegal war in Iraq and the mess in Afghanistan!
